Correct me if I'm wrong, but you only pay taxes on profits right? Hopefully you are maximizing the amount of your mortgage that you can write off assuming you work out of your home.

My company recently signed up with Intelligent Office to handle our phones. It's been over a month now and we are really pleased with their service. They are pretty flexible on what they will/can handle. I believe they are franchised and we are using the Boise, ID franchise which is the next town over from us. It's always the same three girls that answer the phones for us and they do a great job of sounding like they are right in our office. They even joined one of our Slack channels so they can check in on who is available and such for incoming calls. When I went to meet them before signing up they told me they also handle customer returns for a high end mobile phone case company out of California, so I have no doubt you could train them on your invoicing process.

I love the odometer on the blendtec. I think we are something like 1600 blends and it still powers through anything we throw at it. It's been about 5 or 6 years. It better not die the day after the 10 year warranty runs out!

The only complaint would be sometimes we wish it had the integrated stir stick that the Vitamix comes with. If there's not enough liquid in your smoothy it tends to not blend through everything without a bit of shaking the carafe.

Generally speaking good healthcare (insurance) is going to cover the majority of the cost of the drugs for the person that has it.

We’ve been around since 2004 and have a team of 35. We are extremely stable and have many employees who have been with the company for 6-12 years now. We are more specifically located in Nampa, about 14 miles west of Boise. Many employees commute from Boise/Meridian and its rarely more than a 25 minute commute as all the traffic is going towards Boise (and the opposite on the way home). This area is amazingly affordable and provides easy access to a wealth of outdoor activities. The closest respectable ski mountain is only about 30 minutes from downtown Boise and there are some world class resorts within 2-3 hours (Sun Valley, Tamarack, Brundage). If you are from one of the larger cities and looking for a change of pace, you should check Boise out!

It's one of those mistakes you only make once in life. Now I wouldn't even dream of leaving my backpack in my car in my relatively low crime city that I previously never would have given it a second thought. It's a little sad that my entire world is now less trusted because of this invasive incident.

It was a Chevy Tahoe... It was all in the rear cargo area. Tinted windows... but that's about it.

This is way too close to home... Was in SF for GDC 2016 about a month ago when my crews vehicle window was smashed (in the Moscone Center Parking Lot) and 5 backpacks full of MacBook Pros, iPads, cash and an expensive digital SLR with even more expensive lenses were swiped in the blink of an eye. We had dropped our stuff there and grabbed a bite to eat when we came back to the horrific site of our rental vehicles window shattered all over the ground.

Just the night before we were noting how incredibly quiet SF was at night after 9:30pm. Apparently a quiet city is NOT a crime free one.

The security guard and guys in the booth at the parking garage were less than helpful despite there being a variety of security camera screens/cameras. When we called the cops they said we could wait there for an officer but it might be hours so we best just go to the nearest station and file a report. A month out and we've heard nothing on the case despite there being about $20k of belongings grabbed. We didn't really expect to hear much based on their response.

Yes I realize it was incredibly stupid to leave that amount of valuables in a vehicle in the city. Lesson learned there. In our city (Boise) you can practically leave your keys in the ignition without any concerns. Thankfully we paid for the no hassle insurance on the vehicle and our company insurance covered most of our stolen goods. It was still a big loss though and a major hassle. I'll never be so naive again. Hopefully someone reading this can learn from our mistake as well.

Couldn't this low demand peak noon energy be used to power something of value to someone somewhere? Perhaps a folding at home type setup? Maybe its a distributed cloud computing platform of some sort? I would think there are many clever ways that this low demand power could be used to generate some income that offsets the price.

You might reach out to the mechanical engineering department at a local university. Boise State University has some pretty nice equipment and they offer paid 3D printing services to the public. We have used their services multiple times for prototypes on products we are working on to pretty good success.

Their brain box is designed to integrate (snap) with most of the major construction toys: Lego, Fischertechnik, K'NeX, Erector, Minds-i... This opens up the possibilities quite a bit. They also offer a bunch of great robotics curriculum that integrates with their product.

Disclaimer: I work for the company that developed the visual programming app that allows kids to program their robots via tablet or computer. We partnered with PCS on this product. I'm proud to say it's a pretty slick system.

Volvo claimed that the driver hadn't paid for the pedestrian detection upgrade which costs an extra $3,000. That said, it seems like a feature that shouldn't be confusing as to whether your car has it or not. But then again, its not a feature that non-professionals should be testing/showing off on living beings...

Our company setup a booth at GDC this past year and ran into one of the guys that chooses the games to feature. He barely had time to stop at our booth but he said our art looked great, gave me a card and said to shoot him an email. Shortly after the conference I did and we were featured a few weeks later in Best New Games Category. Received about 360,000 installs that week.

Step 1: Make a quality game with preferably some bit of originality. Step 2: Hope you can run into one of these guys or know someone.

Games is by far the most competitive and coveted feature space. We were featured multiple times in the Books category for our interactive childrens book. This is a far less competitive category with far lower numbers so it didn't require too much luck with meeting/knowing someone.

This assumes that the other competitors aren't vastly overcharging for their services. The current commission structure for most brokerages is still based on a time when computers couldn't execute a trade nearly instantly and a lot of paper and people were involved with the execution. There's really no good reason for a trade costing between $5-10 dollars to execute today. So far my experience with the Robinhood app has been pretty great. When you aren't trading thousands of dollars per trade, not having a commission is pretty dang nice and removes a good sized barrier for light hobbyist investors like myself.

I believe Cut The Rope pre-dated the push for keeping apps singular with IAP to unlock additional content.

You do realize that Apple discourages multiple versions of the same app since releasing in-app purchases, right? It clutters up the App Store having paid and free versions of apps. I wish they would just release a proper app demoing system...

Wow, I wasn't familiar with the site before seeing this, but I would never even consider purchasing a product from them no matter what the discount/price was. This shows blatant disregard for their customers and sends a loud message that all they care about is their image. Ironically this clause degrades their image more than any negative consumer review could.

My boss has one of the new Infiniti's and it also automatically stays within your lane if the car starts drifting on its own.

I'll definitely be interested to see what compelling applications people find for Dynamic Perspective. Currently most of the applications that they previewed look like they aren't very far off from what could be accomplished with accelerometer data. It's mostly people tilting the device and seeing a different perspective which isn't too hard to simulate with an accelerometer... Still excited to see a new player in the space that will hopefully help push innovation.

I would suggest studying marketing and getting your feet wet in that space. Outside of the code and design, I think its one of the most needed skill-sets in this space. I could be mistaken though. Or maybe you are looking for an executive assistant type position?
