Those customers were for the old product. There is not really much point in going into how we got them as the product changed. I will be going through how we got our first 100 customers after the 4 post in this series! If you want to subscribe to the blog you can get the posts as they go live.

Irish founders... english company. Shhhhh
Myself and my co founder are from Kildare and Wicklow respectively.
Thanks for the kind words. Feel free to get in touch with me directly re. using the product for clients. More than happy to help with anything like that. Yes our journey has been a longish one but we have a great team and supportive investors who have helped us a lot.
That is 100% correct. It was a hard lesson to learn but we are now pretty savvy to the process. However I think that it is very hard to plan for a buffer margin. There are very few business plans that I have seen that plan for buffer margins.
Thank you! Glad you liked it.
The key about Blooie is that it lives where the content lives. It isn't a destination site like Airtime. Users dont have to leave content to find a conversation.
Thanks for the support. Much apriciated! On your point, we actually dont do any advertising. Our data can help influence advertising so it becomes more relevant to the user. Rather than just spam adds. But we dont actually supply advertisements.
Thanks for the heads up. Our login in system has just crapped its pants for some reason (hasn't happened before) and we are fixing it currently. Thanks for the feedback.
Thanks for the feedback. We completely understand your concerns and thats why we bring up the privacy point in the video. The point you miss is that we dont want to connect you to the people you know. Why? because you already know these people. We want to connect you to new and interesting people that like to talk anbout the same things you do. Hence "email, IRC, lists, usenet, forums, IM etc." aren't sufficient. Mainly because they focus on people that you know and also because (when talking to people you dont know) you arent having a conversation you are reading posts. We are not out to steal your data (says the faceless founder). We analyse the conversations so we can build a profile about the content you enjoy and what you like to talk about. We then use this data to provide you with new content and connect you to people you would like to chat to. None of you chat logs are saved and all of the data we pull from the conversations is anonymised against your account name. We do offer data back to the content provider but this is done by demographics and is never pinned to specific users.
One of the founders here... As far as i am aware you have to have a registered Irish company to avail of the .ie domain name. Thats how we got it.
