No. Moving from SF to NYC is not easier than moving to the Central Valley. The difficulties are different.
When I was six we moved to the easiest place to move to: early 90s greater Toronto Area. No crime. Lots of jobs. Lots of good will from the natives. It was tough.
The Central Valley is ravaged by unique social issues. To dismiss the issues because it’s cheap to live there is insane.

Metals arent particularly strong. Glass, plastics, etc are all stronger (yield strength). But boy are they ductile, and very tough. Iron can take, literally, an infinite number of loading cycle.
You can make ceramics, glass, etc better but the overall performance package of iron is very hard to beat.

So why dismiss the truck manufacturing industry? Semis are very thought out solutions for their domain.
I’ve moved 15 times to a different city (about half of them international). I’m in my early 30s.
Moving to a different city is hard. The older they get the harder it is. Most people can’t do it.

The few months I lived in Cali I had a well paying job, and it still took me a month to find a place to stay.
Reasons I was refused rent included:

- I had a girlfriend, who lived in the East coast, and would visit me frequently

Of the half dozen Greek cab rides, only one didn’t give me the run around. (I tipped him the full fare, and he refuse it until I told him it was for his honesty)

But the main reasons I go on an Uber is because the drivers in any city I’ve been in have been maniacs, while (in my experience) Uber/lyft drivers are the calmest, most restpectful drivers on the road.

35 hrs is less than half of a class during a semester. The MSF can give you 10 hours of motorcycle training in a single weekend.
By comparison, to become a licensed barber (or electrician, etc) typically requires thousands of hours as an apprentice.

The turbines are anchored to the sea bed. The wind has a boundary condition against the ground. If the ground is the sea, then the sea current wrt to the sea bed adds to the wind speed wrt to the sea bed.
Therefore, the turbines have zero wind speed only if the wind is blowing exactly against the sea current. Which is hard and rare.
Because the land boundary condition is different, the further away offshore you are, the better the effect is. Also, you might as well pick spots with known stable sea currents.
That's his point: It ends up at the sea. We'll have to spend muchblarger amounts of energy to recover a diluted resource.

How about cooling the packs? whats the appropriate distance between the packs as the geometry of the heat dissipation changes from 1D to 2D to 3D?
Are you going to cool with forced air or passively? If forced, what if there's a power outage during battery bank failure (highly correlated know that you wired the bank to the mains). If passive, how do you ensure that the environment is always providing suitable cooling?
That's a bit of domain knowledge that most ppl who know how to wire a socket don't know. That's also a house fire type mistake when your dealing with a battery bank.
Unless you're an EE and an expert in power supplies, this is way more dangerous than splicing some copper wires and following some building codes.
Which ppl manage to f. up all the time anyway (missing ground, neutral and live swapped, splices used in lieu of a longer length of cable, improper gauge, poor cabling technique)
