I just did it - im a UI architect, and its not hidden. Comes down my arm just before my elbow. I mostly did it on the weekends and didn't have issues working with it.. Not sure about job search..

The Next Microsoft 14 years ago

wow - you apple-fied microsoft. I don't feel like it's a new image or brand identity, rather just try to fit them into that "other" brands persona. interesting concept, but I think it misses the mark on the actual audience of the brand.

Weird - I see the real homepage for a moment and then it switches. Assuming there is some redirect in JavaScript that is waiting till the dom ready is fired. The code makes me sad - tables and inline styles :( - but thats the FrontEnd Dev in me....

MBP works fine in FireFox only - Chrome is a no go. <3 Kraddy as the audio. It's a nice throwback to the c64 Demo Scene. I think it lacks some interactivity though, nice to watch by rather see how I can interact past the load screen.

The Bitcoin Bubble 15 years ago

It’s a very cute classroom project – but to really be accepted means the government will have it’s hands on the flow, revenue and taxes from said bitcoin just as with the dollar bill. So besides this being anything more than a social experiment – its about as smart as buying POGS if people remember those things...

It's nice to see someone stand up and say whoa. I mean my first youtube post of an arduino project I did - someone had to explain my miss-pronucenation of a word and paid no attention to the project itself. User comment boxes are not always as helpful as it might seem.

Not down with this as a Front End developer here. It's rare that I am able to work along side a developer to understand the structure of his components. Rather we code to a defined spec in HTML/JS/CSS and then throw over the wall for integration with development and back end. This could be near-shore, off-shore or internal - but rarely know before hand.

Kinect Air Guitar 16 years ago

I think Microsoft know's the resuts if it tries to stop the hacking of Kinect. Their own games are really not that engaging so far - this could help. I just hope they don't try some Apple move with development.

CSS3 Buttons 16 years ago

Are we going to see "Flaming" CSS3 buttons anytime soon!? I mean yes mark up is just a href tag but the CSS itself is a bit huge when you look at the styling?

Making user controls work in a MOSS 2007 Document library. So now front end people can just edit the control without re-building parts and re-deploying. It's actually fun :)

A Vic-20 Love Story 16 years ago

My first was a Vic-20, and yes after two years of begging my parents at 12 I got the Commodore 64. I remember the fun of setting the tape drive up to load, then having dinner, then checking to see if it was done loading!

Used to scare my parents that I spent so much time typing in lines of PEEK and POKE code to make sprites and custom characters!

Right now I still have my Commodore64, 2 1541 Drives, original monitor and my Amiga 1200 at home!

Pyxis : Arduino OS 16 years ago

Wow, after two years of WinAVR and the Arduino IDE people get something like this! I wonder how the compile and run time is on board? I do have a feeling that this also might make it easy to write bad programs as quickly as good ones!
