How to Get a Job

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Stripe yet. Fast and free

Great Idea. I can see there is room for monetization too. Although ads are distracting, they could work as occasional in a room. Also, if it caught on, this could join the likes of leetcode...Ppl would pay for this b/c peer learning can be far more efficient or at least engaging. I can certainly see leetcode wanting to copy this idea.

This already has something over twitch which is sort of similar but not interactive. Also, I could see fb ads as quite effective to keep organic traffic up and help this catch on as a competitive way to get a job. You could even market the data you gain to companies looking to hire.

I make allot of noise and flap my arms but ultimately, unless I'm feeling generous, all I do is make it worse, or marginally less worse. The truth imo is that we are bit players and the real players are destroying the planet as fast as possible for reasons unknown.

It's not true everyone had to react to it, many of the ppl. who have the power have a fatalististic attitude or just don't care

Here we are on a forum with highly educated ppl. talking about what's happening. But what should we do to effect change? It seems to me that some way for us to unite our efforts in some modern internet/technology/mass-communication kinda way might help us break through the barriers to actually making progress. I honestly don't know what that looks like, but I believe if even the ppl. on this thread were able to band together effectively to work on this problem that is whatever-it-is-our-worlds-become I would have hope. I don't know what this "solution" looks like though. A website? A forum? A technology of some form? Unfortunately, I don't think anyone else knows either :(

I hate it. So many reasons why. Redirect to mobile app along with nerfed mobile website is God awful. Broken browser behavior when clicking links is obnoxious. I'd go on but this thread covered everything else.

Talk to Books 8 years ago

This is the coolest thing I've seen in a minute! Instantly exciting and it really works. I'm using this to explore old books I've read and forgotten parts of. Really fun to relive those special moments from fantasy and sci fi I've read over the years. Also this is an alternative to my experience at bookstores where I thumb through interesting books.

I liked how this was written. The way this was written sort of reminds me of go. It's as simple as approriate, and written in a way to be memorable. Nice UX trick deadbeef!

Well is this Orwellian double talk? To some extent, I think that's wildly accurate. Buy stocks that are sort of a scam, but don't buy into a new technology like BTC which has imo by now proven itself to be powerful and legit, unlike the next crappy IPO. Honestly it's hard to take articles like this seriously when what's going on is a lot of misdirection. Just my 2c.

yeah, i have mixed feeling about it, sorry i posted it. But the open source projects I've been sifting through are all broken to some extent. I was hoping someone might point out a better option than this closed source :(

yes and paul stamets on a joe rogan podcast says SV coders are massively using microdosing of LSD as a competitive advantage, that's why I wanted to ask here, as I'm sure someone can chime in on either being around this happening or is doing it.
