I don't think you would ever lose a concept like 'aboveness' - even if that word didn't exist in our language, we would have found away to express the same idea, perhaps in a less abstract way like 'closer to the sky'
this happens to MMO servers too, I used to play the game DOFUS years ago and it was one of my favorite places on the internet when first started but then people left the game as they grew up and it was gradually taken over by bots and scammers until it got merged with another server

And apart from pictures of young children, most of them have strange vertical wrinkles under the eyes, even when everything else is relatively convincing.
IMHO Steven Wright was more consistently funny than Mitch Hedberg.

Louis CK (in the leaked set) presented himself as transgressive since he was playing the part of a victimized white male who can punch up at snowflakes. Nothing he says is extremely controversial though except perhaps the 'asians are women' line, and at this point you can actually hear groans in the audience

unfair to who? charging so much is unfair to the masters students who are paying too much for something worth far less and admitting so many of them is unfair to the other students (especially asians who are not from china) and staff, whose reputation they damage
