Pretty cool! Spun up a new server in like 30 seconds. I can see this being helpful for small POC's and the like.

I'd say a good next step would be to add some more user-data example scripts for common setups.

I think this really boils down to self regulation. In some/most cases no one is forcing you to work 50+ hours a week.

I remember a sign a coworker used to have in his office. The gist is - are you happy? If so, keep doing what you're doing, if not, change something.

Eh, it wasn't WordPress per se, but a plugin. This plugin's vulnerability was also posted YEARS ago. So I wouldn't blame WP (in this case).

As a dev, I've come across plenty of out of date CMS/ modules/ plugins that had huge security holes in them. It's part of the 'build and forget' mentality that seems to be widespread these days.

I think these points could be for 'hip' frameworks in general. As a developer, it's tiring keeping up with the latest and greatest AT ALL TIMES. Anyone have a good comparison of React and Angular that cuts through the hype?
