I wish you were right, but you're wrong. It's a wishful thinking that I have been participatory in for decades. However, it will not come to fruition. Why? It's very simple: we, as a people and as a society, are not willing to give up convenience.

Secondly, the corporate media have been straight up propaganda centers for decades now and anyone who has been paying attention has known that for a long time now. That is not something that we are on the edge of our seats waiting to happen. It happened a long time ago.

Remember when CNN was meeting with the Pentagon so that the Pentagon could approve their stories during the Iraq War? Remember when the media constantly lied to us during COVID? Remember when they told us Biden's health was in pristine condition and that he was never better?

Don't try and politicize this issue in one way or the other. Anyone paying attention can see that there is no savior on the left or the right. It's the corrupt politicians vs. us.

Look, I have my political views, but this is why the whole divide and conquer thing is 100% true. As long as we, whether left or right, allow our entire mind and emotions to be warped and subverted by those in power, we will never effect change and unite against this kind of corruption, which none of us stand for.

You know, your comment reminds me of something my wife and I were talking about. We have been starting to let our child have a little more screen time and choose what he wants to watch (within the parameters we set).

Some shows and movies seem harmless, initially, but then we noticed in so many kids movies (e.g., Zootopia, Sing), they're always yelling at each other, expressing anger, frustration, and hostility towards one another.

Then we wonder why kids adopt those attitudes. It's simply because mimic what they see. And worse yet, when they see it in movie/show form, they think those attitudes are cool and relatable.

Almost no rebuttals on the internet are intellectually honest these days. Take the same exact action by a President of the alternative party, and it's considered "decisive", "shows our enemies we mean business". I think what you say makes sense. There's times when you hear advice and you just know it's true and on point. And that is exactly what I saw in your words of advice.

I'm going to stick it out and just finish. Aside from career, it is also helping me with random side interests that I have like making my house smart, setting up media servers, creating my own Raspberry Pi surveillance system, automating work tasks. So like you said, the things I'm learning are useful in and of themselves.

I have a question prompted by seeing what everyone is doing with Codex and Claude Code. I'm currently in a Data Analytics, B.S. program. I've thought of dropping out and focusing on coding with these AI tools, but some programmers have told me that by knowing SQL, Python, JavaScript and how to code in general, that it'll give me an advantage.

I feel sorry for people like you who can't read an article such as this one without expressing rage at the current administration. Regardless of my political positions, I've come to learn that there are enough substantive, significant issues where bipartisan unity is a no-brainer, but those in power, with all of their self-interested agendas, profit from the people being at each other's throats.

We may disagree on carbon credits, but we nobody disagrees on having clean water, sustainable sources of energy, regulations on sanitation, waste, and pollution; affordable education; term limits and abolishing lobbyists. The list goes on.

Mellow out and focus on the substance without letting your TDS flare up.

I agree with you. I don't have all the answers, but I agree with you. Things aren't the same. My political views have evolved so much over the span of 20-years. I don't know what the answer is, but at a spiritual level, you are completely right.

I think willing to take a cut in one's standard of living so that the mother stays at home and raises the children would revitalize society beyond any of the above-mentioned options.

As someone who is 34 with two kids (toddler and newborn), I completely agree with your comment. My wife and I had difficulty having kids, or we would've had them sooner, but I completely agree with having kids before 30. My energy is still solid, don't get me wrong. But it doesn't compare to energy in your 20s. People think too much about the financial aspect. You can continue building and growing financially even with kids, you just need to be smarter and more disciplined. A lot of people use the financial argument, but I think more and more, it is only a cope for not having had kinds sooner. All my kids will be in their 20s when I'm in my 50s; not bad, but having kids in your 20s is the way to go.
