I see almost all comments on this article are sympathetic to China. I have not dug deeper but I wonder if the accounts making these comments are all real, or could they be part of China’s propaganda apparatus?

I tried both Google Container Engine and Amazon EC2 Container Service recently for a docker deployment. Google was the clear winner: they have support for private registries (Amazon requires you to use a third party or set it all up yourself), Google gives you a preconfigured, Debian-based base image so you don't have to do any setup or maintenance (with keys already exchanged that allow login with the gcloud command, no work required), and Kubernetes itself (which Google Container Engine uses for orchestration) is really nice. Also Google cloud logging (currently free) just works out of the box with their container engine and streams your container's stdout to their logs. Kubernetes itself is open source so you always have the option to move on your own metal if your deployment grows to that size. Would highly recommend Google Container Engine.

The DJI Phantom & DJI Phantom 2 vision are both awesome. The Phantom 1 is probably better if you want to put your own board in the air, as it has more payload space. But out of the box the Phantom 2 is unbelievable with its iPhone FPV & telemetry integration

I have a question about using this. In the SAFE Primer it states:

"The table below sets forth a comparison between the Standard Preferred and the SAFE Preferred, as each would be described in the company’s certificate of incorporation:"

Reading the SAFE it mentions "SAFE Preferred Stock" and seems to partially define it. Does this mean you must have "SAFE Preferred stock" defined in your articles of incorporation to use a SAFE, or can the SAFE stand alone?

The law here clearly needs to evolve, and probably should have evolved by now. AirBnb wants to keep people safe, as it's in the best interest of their business. Some purposes of the law are also to keep people safe, but we need to revisit protectionist laws that restrict renting out parts of your home to others solely to protect hotels, and the fact that Airbnb has made it much safer to rent out your home (you can see people's reputations online, their social networks and who they know, Airbnb provides insurance, etc) means that some of the old laws aren't needed.

What is clear to me is that this sort of spot enforcement is a waste of taxpayer money and doesn't serve to help anyone. I hope we can work towards real legal reform as companies like Airbnb and Uber drive innovation in our cities.

This comment thread reminds me a bit of "The Emperor's new clothes". I think the code for sieve (even though I understood what it did) is way too unnecessarily confusing and I would not want to see it in a project I'm on.

However, I do appreciate the usefulness of lazy evaluation. Still, I think this documentation could benefit by not making outlandish claims ("it will change the way you think") and just saying the author has implemented lazy evaluation in javascript (and maybe link to the wikipedia article on lazy evaluation and this stack overflow to explain why it's useful: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2151226/what-are-the-adva...)

If underscore is already loaded into the browser cache for other pages then you should be able to use it for free here then and not need jquery.proxy

I'm sorry you feel this way. You can opt-out of emails sent to you from free EmailOracle accounts. Maybe we should add to our website the ability to automatically opt-out of all future tracking?

EmailOracle does build this feature right into Gmail :)

It adds a link in the left panel of Gmail (under "Contacts") that lets you open up a new pane (just like the "Tasks" pane) that contains all of your emails needing follow-up.

To help alleviate this concern there is opt-out for emails received from free EmailOracle accounts (there is a link at the bottom of the email that says "Metrics by EmailOracle, click here to opt-out").

We also allow you to quickly set reminders on individuals with whom you'd like to stay in touch.

To answer your question, the domain admin (when he installs the gadget for the domain) gives us access to each email header as you open the email. To install Etacts, the user clicks through an openid+oauth login screen that details which services we use (gmail and google contacts).

This was Etacts. We responded to Antonio's support email this morning within a few minutes of its arrival to let him know the IP address in question belongs to us. We are talking about ways now to prevent this type of confusion from happening in the future.
