Connect the dots. They fired American workers, brought in H1B’s from India while also increasing their offices in India. AI didn’t break Windows, cheaper labor and the effort to increase bottom line did.

Unfortunately, the U.S. has never had the best doctors in the world (outside of cancer treatment). Japan and Russia for example have much better healthcare. However, it has certainly gotten worse now that hospitals are taking advantage of the visa system and bringing over doctors/nurses from other countries to increase their own bottom line.

The regular cost increases are due to immigration (no insurance), medical coding system, and govt subsidies.

You would have to blow up the system and restart to make it affordable, but then that also means millions of jobs gone overnight, a historic market crash, and then no one would want to work in that field as pay would have to be substantially lower.

You also can’t go down the free healthcare route based on the above, along with govt being horrible with everything it touches that we would have a $50 trillion debt in a few years time.

Every university has to decide what is profitable and what is a loss leader. You have to be well rounded to attract students, but also make money.

In this case, the school decided that this studio had less benefit to them than reward. If this studio attracted more students (tuition $$) then it would be a benefit.

People are getting mad at the White House, but in reality the school decided that this studio wasn’t worth keeping.

Again, this would be the Legislative branch. Your right to vote has not decreased, and you can absolutely contact your senator to introduce a bill for what you stated. I mean, you have a representative. Absolutely use them if you dislike something.

However, disagreeing with the Legislative or Executive branch in no way erodes your democratic rights.

That part is fairly easy to understand with a few google searches. Journalism programs are at a loss across the country and have been in decline for some time. When a university program is not profitable they close the program.

Low wages, less employment opportunity, and the decrease in interest of writing. Combine this with social media and the age of influencers - you suddenly have a huge decline across the board.

Journalism is not what you see on tv. Those are essentially actors and are the 1%. The rest are those writing in newspapers (in decline) and making barely livable wages with most on contract rather than salary. It’s an incredibly difficult line of work when it comes to wages and job security.

This guy has a U.S. green card. The letter from USCIS (immigration) is because he previously had a travel visa in his passport that is now invalid since he has a green card. He was claiming that he would protest the U.S. by entering on the visa rather than his green card - at the same time USCIS informed him that the visa was (correctly) being revoked (due to green card status)

Example: Asylum is intended for political persecution. If you feel unsafe living in Chicago because a gang is after you, that doesn’t fall under the definition of asylum for you to move to London.

If you are being rounded up by the govt and placed in a jail because of your religion, that would be a case for asylum.

If your country wants to try you for a crime and you flee, that makes you a fugitive and that’s why there is “extradition”. This would not be a case for asylum.

I am all for political asylum, but traveling to the other side of the world, entering a country by declaring you are a visitor, then filing for asylum to stay, all while being a fugitive for embezzlement in your own country is nothing less than fraud.

The highest quality of talent is already not being brought in. A very specific pool of people are, and not for reasons of talent.

If companies were looking for talent, 80% of H1B’s wouldn’t be from India, but from a much more diverse set of countries. The fact is that India culture is much more so subservient, willing to work more for less pay, won’t unionize, don’t follow major US/Euro holidays, don’t care about work/life balance..etc. Like it or not, it’s nothing more than exploitation as cattle to increase bottom line and sold as increased output.
