I and many other Pro and Pro+ paying customers have been affected, many threads popping up right now in community forums. Many users opened support tickets, some of the cancelling their subscription. No response whatsoever from Github.

Well, apart from sending highly targeted updates to citizens, it is also used for:

1. receiving payment request for car tickets that you can pay right away with the credit card you saved in the app 2. receiving pending tax payments for local and national taxes that, again you can pay right away in the app 3. it was used for the national cashback program as a mean to enroll citizens, register the payment cards that could be used to accumulate points, setup banking details to get the prizes, etc... 4. distribute several government incentives (e.g. holiday bonus, bonus for young citizens, etc...)

After I left the project, the team was working on implementing a full digital signature solution that could be used to sign official requests to the public administration and they were also working on supporting legally valid communications from the government (vs just informational).

Yes, the project started in February 2017, so it's been a while and the app is very mature and frequently used by many citizens (full disclaimer, I was leading the development of the app and the backend from the beginning until almost two years ago).

What a surprise seeing Marcella mentioned on HN! She was my grandmother cousin but I've never actually met her because she left Italy before I was born. This looks a lot like the Flux pattern, it would be interesting to understand how they deal with conflicts and updates that keep failing, will the Mutation Manager cancel the optimistic state after a certain amount of failed requests to the server?

Mostly personal experience of me, my wife and a few friends of mine. All people coming from countries with cultures based on quality food and food education. After a few years in the US, and after having embraced the US food lifestyle, most of us developed different sorts of diseases caused by the quality of the food we were ingesting. Worth nothing to say that as soon as we got back to our home country, almost every disease went away.

This is very sad actually, people should be educated to buy the ingredients and cook their own meals, unless they they plan to die young :) The average quality of restaurant (and delivery) food in the US is very very very very low :(

Your responsibility will be to build the front end app of our analytics platform using Rails and AngularJS. The backend system (data ingestion and analysis) is built on Scala, so there's a chance for you to learn it if you want :)

This is a fully remote position. You'll be able to work from (almost) anywhere you want and organize you working hours as long as you deliver stuff and bring the product closer to the vision that we’re going to shape together.
