I'm not seeing anyone complain about the lack of competition for The State. If nothing else why would anyone defend the monopoly of the state? I don't see anyone defending any other monopoly.

Why should I be forced to move elsewhere for better service?

I understand that for now we don't have a better solution but stop defending the fucking monopoly.

It's simpler than that. They do it because they can.

Apple could charge allot less for everything they sell but they don't just because they can get away with it.

I'm sure nobody here really believes that the difference in price between countries has anything to do with keeping the profit margin the same everywhere :)

I think everything could be as simple as installing a browser addon (including the node.js server). The dotjs extension for Chrome already starts a ruby server so it shouldn't be too hard to start the node server.

I get the fact that something like this might be used at first by paranoid people but give it a few more privacy meltdowns :)

Besides that it could save allot of money in data center costs. I see something like this supported by Mozilla when Google stops the spice flow :)
