You know what’s great about SVGs? So many things! I can share the highlights, on the spot, in under 60 seconds.

If you hired me and asked what’s great about SVGs, I’d say: “They’re lightweight, work well on all devices; you can draw or animate them based on dynamic data with precision.”

..

I can develop a quick demo to show everyone, complete with estimates for finishing a milestone project in that fashion.

You know about APIs? Of course you do. Know about portals, secure forms, databases? I do that. Mostly in PHP, some Python...—and I’m game to program in any language, with occasional access to the Lead Dev.

Interfaces -- accessible, fast-loading, thought-through, tested, secure, pleasant, effective. I do a lot of that too.

The checkout part of the shopping cart, financial data dashboards, the payments mechanics of the business, the lasting emotional response of a successful purchase…. I do that too.

If you hired me, you would never see from me a cryptic, free-writing response to the “what’s great about SVGs” prompt like this one; never ever:

They’re great for watching your insider information come alive via a visualization that’s built to scale, that’s built to scale, and easy to share. The quantity, quality, patterns, and movements of value and knowledge are visualized with shapes and timelines, calculated to exact measurements, maintaining it’s ratios when the screen size changes and when the web traffic goes exponential.

Full Stack Engineer here, hello.

I’m a bit of a generalist with a knack for creating new answers to hard problems. One of my strengths is immersing myself with the objective and delivering refreshingly functional solutions.

My breadth of skills are best suited for joining a company in its startup phase: I have a foundation in Computer Science, with experience in finding product market fit, growth hacking, and navigating deliverables based on user research data.

Accessibility, APIs, Bitcoin, data visualization, and payment protocols are some of my deeper specialties.

Straight away on your team, I can build real-time data visualizations, dashboards, animated SVGs, and ensure that any web apps are accessible, device-adaptive, and fast-loading. Once settled in, I’ll do UI Engineering, Backend Engineering, and the pieces in-between and the parts in the cloud:

From inputs in the interface to updates to the database. Data feed, data speed and data storage to user feels, user needs and user secrets. Milestone sprints, project launches, outage recoveries, retooling and code reviewing. Full cycle app development.

Startup experience and FAANG experience. 20+ years as a web dev.

Extra stoked to grow in a role working with Payments, Security, or Python.

I believe in the power of the mastermind effect, where two minds in harmony equals 3, or 10. I believe empathy makes teams and products succeed in the long haul. I believe optimism, confidence and persistence are key traits in an Engineer that are worth reinforcing.

This is an excellent site to come to if you'd like to see what movies are playing but you don't want your movie-going experience to be tainted by reading critic reviews. When I check out movies to watch, I almost always read the critic reviews. Some movies are awesome even if the critics don't agree. If I read a bad review, it'll spoil the experience for me. This site makes me long for the days when I was a kid and would choose which movies I saw based on how excited I got after watching a movie review. I suggest emphasizing this great trait: No reviews, no spoilers, pure theater experience.

I agree. I'd like to see a title. There ought to be a way for users to know if they know about the movie already. Or if they've gone through the queue and want to go back to re-watch a specific trailer, there should be some sort of identifying marker to come back to.

So true. Why hasn't this worked yet? Surely with Kickstarter and crowdfunding becoming increasingly popular it's only a matter of time before it crosses over to the Facebook-friends network. But why hasn't it happened yet? Is it because online payments/transfers are too expensive for the current market that's just waiting to be tapped?
