Great history on Rod Serling, I used to duck and cover watching TZ when younger. His voice was so convincing to me.

I installed on VS2013 Ultimate wo/Resharper and here is how it worked for me.

The '///' then tab does nothing but when I start typing in the IDE however it kicks in with a much better Intellisense complete with the Bing snippets like depicted on the VS Gallery. So perhaps they limited the slash+tab sequence?

Try writing more at least everyday to regain your old penmanship, this is what I do and it helps to a certain degree. Im not sure taking penmanship guides would teach you anything you don't already know?

I thought I was alone in this because I've noticed over the last 10 years my handwriting has become horrible!

Yes wire wrapping and hard wrapping the same thing.

Hard wrapping was something the current day mags called it (Popular Electronics) for one.

Back in the bread boarding days, hard wrapping was using a tool to physically wrap a hair thin insulated wire from one pin on an IC to another pin on an IC.

Not using the PCB foil electrical path but rather a direct short path as possible wire connection between two points.

Great seeing this again. I remember in its day Cray was like a mythical beast we only heard of since Gov was the only one with enough money to buy one.

The C configuration with hard wrapped wires were awesome. Hard wrapping was the fastest path for electrons from point A to B.

Forearm and leg pump battling lateral G forces, current day Fernando Alonso/Ferrari describes this during his race season if you following him.

During the Senna video above, he takes his hand off the steering wheel with 2+ lateral G’s to shift which is insane also. Today’s drivers paddle shift with both hands on the wheel.

Postman is exactly what I have been looking for. I used Fiddler for years and always thought it to be heavy and awkward to use. It's strange I never heard about Postman before this post.

I like working out of the browser and Postman has just the right amount of features I need.

Excellent points especially about the fiddles. One thing CP is really heavy into is the C/C++ realm, which can arguably apply to many platforms. I hope Chris Maunder reads HN and can chime in or start a new post on the future direction of CP.

Yes CP is primarily geared towards Win, that’s mostly because they pre-date current day languages and frameworks.

But if they could fix comments and apply the same excellent moderation towards todays language, SO would have a definite competitor.

I have been using codeproject.com for many years because of its high quality posts and still use it today. SO has better advice in the comments.

When searching I’m always pleasantly surprised to see CP come up in the SERP because I know I will find great examples when going there.

Websites linked on our CI website are the same website owners that hired sketchy SEO firms in developing countries to place as many links on the Internet to increase the backlink SEO juice, then Google changes their algo and I get angry emails from the very same website owners wondering why I link to them in the first place!

It’s a distraction (I even have the rel=’nofollow’ everywhere on my site) I have a form letter that I send to the website owners explaining that you should really choose your SEO firm wisely next time.

I know this is not Googles problem (except they are not honoring the nofollow) but what do you do to mitigate this?

I have been a fan of F1 since the days of Nigel Mansell and I have got to say I am no fan of the new direction of Formula 1 present day.

To me Formula 1 represents the pinnacle of engine/chassis engineering uninhibited by any green standard of the day. For once just let the creative minds of auto engineering have their day at the track and let the best team win.

There is nothing more sexy to a car guy than hearing a V10 scream down the straights at Fuji Speedway at 21k RPM and nothing more exciting than seeing a V10 engine detonate at 21k RPM. I certainly miss the days of Schumacher and Alonso battling in the final days of the V10 engine.

Mercedes may be currently winning it by the years of preplanning for this day, but the race is already over by using today’s standard.

We have been developing Lightswitch SPA Apps with VS2013.

WinJS is at the core of Lightswitch development coupled with JQueryMobile.

I downloaded and dorked around with the code out of respect for what it did to PC’s 30 years ago. It’s interesting, I thought the codebase would be much larger than it is.

You’re right you can’t tell if they’re stolen, but if >10% in circulation are stolen (and growing daily) why would a legit company like overstock.com (just to name one) take them knowing this?

And if they did, why would I trust them knowing that?

I used to type extremely fast but over the years I developed nerve damage in my left hand from what docs told me was bad posture and bad keyboards.

5 years ago I switched to a split keyboard and now type half as fast but surprisingly I’m more efficient.
