Such is the reason the only game I play is a Quake clone (Urban Terror). It is mostly bug free, runs on cheap hardware, and most importantly: it is very fun (due to the great gameplay.) It also has a great community (with a lot of hackers/nerd types.

Ignoring them: nothing happens.

Answering them: Could net some love from the market.

I would create a template message explaining why you did not answer (be honest), why you are answering now, and asking if they continue to use the app so that you can support it properly.

It won't hurt because most people won't care. Those that do will most likely appreciate it.

Given the amount of capital that B&H needs to invest yearly, this is a natural choice.

Buffet likes banks, he said so in the book The Snowball (a must read). Banks have float, which is interest free money "floating around" waiting to be invested by the bank, but not owned by the bank.

BOA also sells insurance, which has more float than a bank. B&H has a pretty effective group of insurance business people. A lot of the B&H wealth comes from the insurance industry.

I would have loved an elevator ride with him. The man is quite smart, and a resilient entrepreneur.

One can either do two things in the tech world:

Create new ideas (be a pioneer, and get arrows on your back as a result).

Or

Improve on existing ideas that already have a defined market.

Just like pinboard improved on delicious, this could end up improving on the Q&A formula.

Their current approach is innovative in terms of presentation. It looks clean, simple, maybe even Apple-like in terms of grid-like alignment.

They need to differentiate the comment/solution issue. It is a good feature. The question allows for more data to be provided by the OP, but it is rather bland looking and gets lost in the gray background. Make the question textbox a light yellow to better contrast it.

I see this growing as a mix of different Q&A models. Time will tell.

Have they really failed?

I reason they have not. Bing, the .NET framework, the OOP languages and IDE, Interet Explorer, XBOX, etc. are all mentioned in that memo, and are succesful divisions/products.

I don't know of any other company with such track record (if there is, please mention it).

As the owner of a Motorola Charm, I can relate to the lady.

The Moto Charm sucks. It is full of bugs.

I'm not a Motorola hater, as I've had a couple in the past (including the old v555, which lasted for a couple of years).

I don't know about anybody else but my work "ethic" is derived from needing to eat.

College don't give you anything you ain't got inside.

What you need to do is to start doing something right now, or else you gonna waste your whole life deciding. It is better to correct your decisions on the way than to stay put in one place and rot.

I know this is rather rude, but doing projects is the only way to learn.

Take it from me, someone who wasted a lot of time trying making it click by study alone.

It is about the salesman, because it is you who has the choice to either stay at home or go out and sell. People will always buy, but they wont buy from you if you sit on you ass all day.

It isn't some secret, sales motivation comes from survival: if you sell you eat, if you don't, well, you don't eat (and if you got kids they don't eat either).

You have to realize that the sale is about you: your food, your car payment, rent, dipers, hell even the power bill.

The more you see it like that, the less likely you are to pussy out and be a chicken.

It is helpful, but somehow that did nothing for me.

You are going to laugh but I had to go and get a medal I won after running a 5K, and put it on. Somehow, reminding myself that I've done bigger things, let me acquire some much needed courage.

Weird thing is that it was a very enjoyable experience, and I want to keep doing it more and more.
