Sorry for the horribly off-topic post, but as a car enthusiast, nitrous used to be one of the cheapest ways to make your car faster. However, recent price fluctuations (and making sure nitrous is reserved for medical uses first), along with the advent of a market flooded with cheap turbos from China, have made nitrous not worth the investment.
One promising technology that may gain some traction is compressed air [https://casupercharging.com/]. It's still a forced induction method and relatively simple to install compared to procharging or supercharging. That said, forced air has some major drawbacks — a very large tank, for one.

We are a small dev team working to improve and extend a grant management system and survey system.
We use PHP/Laravel and AngularJS. There's some Python and R scripts floating around too. Everyone at DataArts has some kind connection to the arts in Philadelphia, though it is not required. We are a 501c nonprofit that was founded by Pew Research.

I suggested hiring a designer, just for some of the most used features and all I got was 'yeah, okay, hmmm'
First point I would like to make is that if they had UI standards in place, then this guy wouldn't have had to waste so much time getting it to look right.
My manager does this all the time. He gives me very incomplete specs, if any at all, and always has a bunch of things he wants changed on the first draft. I usually feel that his changes ruin some of the aesthetics I was going for, adds in more complexity, and runs slower. I'm a minimalist, and lets just say he loves buttons everywhere ala Photoshop style.
I barely fight for my designs anymore because this collaboration style gives him more power and because he will get most of the blame if it fails.
I like puzzles a little bit, but I kinda suck at them.
