They announced a fix but it hasn't rolled out everywhere yet -- it requires converting to a new "Amazon Web Service" login that is separate from your normal amazon.com account

All of the lying and "nudging" and viewpoint policing is what made the "conspiraloons" so big (great word BTW). It was quite clear by March or April 2020 that a lot of lying was going on (wether "for the greater good" or some more nefarious reason) and also clear that everyone in media, politics, and science that should have been asking questions was instead giving a doe eyed acquiesce that the emperor was in fact wearing beautiful clothes.

I had the same issue with unavailable, but on an instance in us-east-1b. Finally just got the force stop to go through a minute ago and it's now running and available again.

The other thing that doesn't show the whole story is using a data set starting in March when there was a quite low percent vaccinated but comparing totals of unvaxxed vs. vaxxed deaths over the whole period, when fully vaxxed in March was only a few percent.

It'd be much more interesting to see a straight comparison over Oct-Nov, say, when the vaccination rate was stable and get the unvaxxed vs 1 shot vs 2 shot vs 2 weeks after 2nd shot vs booster numbers.

Yes, but the abilities and item actives are all quite similar in broad categories -- dash, stun, slow, etc. Same with items -- broad categories of damage, magic, health, armor, etc.

To OP's point, you don't have to know the entire 100 hero roster and all of their abilities to have fun, just the general things they can do "Oh I just got stunned by that ability, might want to dodge next time"...

Obviously to be good you need to know them all, but not to get started and have fun at lower levels of play.

Seeing a "Service Unavailable - DNS failure

on many sites.

This is pretty standard for flat pricing nowadays, but hits certain types of merchants really hard.

It's a double whammy when you have a cancellation and have to refund and then lose 3% on top of that. Stripe should keep the fixed fee, sure, but keeping interchange doesn't seem right.

Why doesn't Stripe offer the option to do simple interchange+ pricing to all instead of restricting that option to 6 figure volume accounts with negotiated agreements?

That would cleanly solve the issue and be fair on both sides.

Not being from the UK, I'm not sure of the exact details of the law over there, but from a quick read it appears that pedestrians don't have the right of way except at marked pedestrian crossings. And certainly on a 4 lane 70km/hr posted road they would be expected to exercise good judgement and not step out in front of a car that they could clearly see coming.

https://travel.stackexchange.com/a/123110 is the closest I could find from a UK native. You clearly can't just barrel through a pedestrian that has stepped into the roadway without trying to stop, but there's also no expectation that a car must drive slower than posted on the off chance that somebody jumps out. A car should try to stop if somebody steps in front, but a pedestrian also should be aware of their surroundings and shouldn't step in front.

Unless you can show a UK LAW reference that peds have right of way on a 4 lane road without a pedestrian crossing? Do you have local knowledge or are you just making assumptions about a foreign country?
