Isn't it said in the article that Redis can be replaced by anything else

_redis can be replaced or complemented by another NoSQL database (such as MongoDB) or a relational database (such as Postgres). Throughout this section, where you see redis, feel free to replace it with the database you might want to use._

Solid point, Not OP, but I also want to point out that OP seems to enjoy his working term (no commute and all), but enjoying the work doesn't have to make an impact on you.

It's just a fucking job, yes, we make other people rich, yes, but it's also the kind of job that I wanna do. I also don't commute, and also have more time to meet with my daughter compared to most dads, and I really glad about this term.

Scala vs Go 9 years ago

it should be available in any language on JVM although I've never tried it myself. It's simple enough, I don't think it would take too much work to get the information from flight recorder.

Scala vs Go 9 years ago

One thing that I like about Scala is that we can use Java Mission Control to analyze how our code (to the 'method' level,) perform in production. Elementary OS 10 years ago

have anyone tried Apricity, https://apricityos.com?

I'm currently using Archlinux now, so far I enjoy using it, but the fact that we have to put much effort on installing it makes me don't want to recommend it.

I try to find simple-to-install-with-Arch-linux-based-OS, still with rolling release and pacman -Syu to update the entire OS.

Mozilla Thimble 10 years ago

Should keep in mind that this just for learning purpose, can't really compare Thimble to an IDE or full pledged editor like Sublime or Atom

is it just me or this interview is kinda unprepared? the questions that sama asks, the way that musk answer & the way that interview stop. But overall, I enjoy this series, kudos!

The Pithos Guide 11 years ago

Been use Pithos in development (4 months) and production (2 months) as a replacement for S3, so far it's still stable.

I think that is certainly the way, any manager or lead developer should always open to interruption, that way we can manage our team.

Being a lead dev or manager, i think we should always expect less coding.
