The iOS Mail app has gotten so bad. It shows errors for no reason whatosover. The other day I typed a message and hit sent (and status showed all synced) but it was not sent and not even in draft.

Any recommendations for an alternative?

What if my "AI Character" says things that are offensive or insensitive or considered rude by someone in some culture? I can see this making headlines with a <Celeb/Politician> AIs offending someone...

Had the exact same experience. One of the car dealerships told me that I still have to get a 6 month "service" where they move around battery packs (why?). And secondly, I remembered how I hated talking to car salesmen.

Great initiative! There needs to be more effort towards streamlining these trials.

At TrialX [1], we also launched Covid Labs Initiative to Hack The Pandemic [2] by bringing together hackers in Clinical Trials informatics space - Drop us a note hackcovid@trialx.com if interested.

We are seeing an unprecedented activity on-the-ground at various orgs[3,4,5] where we power the clinical trials recruitment. There is a huge interest in patient/volunteer community. Any effort to streamline and accelerate would be welcome.

Here is my anecdata on Apple Pay and why I stopped using it altogether:

Once I used Apple Pay from my phone to pay on a third-party website, it showed a nice popover on Safari and it automagically used my address from my info as the SHIPPING address. Neat but the address was my old address, so I edited and changed the SHIPPING address to my new address. I press OK. Then Checkout.

I see that order was shipped to my old/incorrect address. The vendor said this is the address they received. I remember changing and updating the address on the APPLE PAY popover.

I called Apple as I had entered the correct address on APPLE PAY popover, they said may be the website vendor implemented it incorrectly, there are millions of websites using Apple Pay and they CANNOT/DO NOT check those integrations. This was a breach of trust. I entered my information on a pop-over shown on Apple iPhone by Apple iOS and not the third-party website.

Bottomline: Either Apple takes full responsibility of the data entry or leave it to third-party. Else consumers are stuck in limbo

Hundreds of organizations, including ours, rely on Rocket.Chat for their internal messaging. It all went down when a release was pushed and snap decided to auto-update [1] I can imagine it resulted in a huge loss of productivity at all these orgs in the Covid era.

Just learnt from this thread that apt-install will install snap! I'm running Ubuntu 18.04 + i3 (Dell Developer Edition) but will change to Debian.

This is true!

I have completed replaced my 2015 MBP with this Dell XPS13 DE and been exclusively it using since Dec. I had also ordered a MBP 16 inch and System 76 to do a comparative evaluation for our entire company.

I haven't tweaked anything from the default setup with came with.

What is great about the machine:

* The display resolution on a 4K monitor screen just beats MBP (with a scaling factor) - my MBP colleagues are jealous of the resolution I get. The ubuntu font looks nice and crisp!

* The hardware/build quality is just strong - it is compact

* Very light 2.6lb (MBP 16 is almost 4.3lb/2kg!)

* Keyboard feels great and sturdy (even compared to the new MBP 16)

All the below work out of box:

* Airpod/bluetooth devices just works

* Zoom meetings

* Wifi switching / Personal hotspot while traveling

* Sleep/awake

What is not so good:

* Trackpad really sucks compared to MBPs - it took me few weeks to get used to it.

* For work requiring windows VPN client etc I have to use a VirtualBox

* At one point my zoom meeting and entire computer froze. Never had this with MBP for past 5 years.

* Battery is not as good as MBP.

* The screen size is small even compared to MBP 13inch to work for long hours.

Because it does not have the "high fructose corn syrup" but regular sugar.

All sodas in India (even Pepsi, Coke sold in India) use sugar instead of corn syrup so it doesn't leave sticky sweetness in your mouth.

Try "Pepsi Cola" in US that still contains sugar.
