I've struggled to understand how the ultimate plan can be priced as high as $99/user/month. What kind of company can afford this service price?
It's the only way to have access to epics, a feature quite standard for Ajile project management. As a result, we're sticking to the Community Edition, so it's a loss of business for GitLab.
This refers to Git 2.0, that will bring breaking changes, like the default push mode. I don't know any other source than the weekly "what's cooking in Git" posts by Git maintainer on the mailing list, but it's fairly hard to read if you're not used to Git internals.
Note that it isn't a real Git client, but a communication layer between a PlasticSCM repo and a remote git repository.
Sounds like good news for making Git stuff easier on Windows platform. Git Extensions is pretty good, but can be intimidating for the unexperienced.
