I have created an email-to-json service. This service creates a webhook call each time an email is sent to an address of your choice and pass the email content as json data to the webhook.

I have created this project a few years ago and then I got an email from a guy that wanted to do the same. I redirect my domain to his new service for free - but lately I have seen that he had abandoned his project, so I have revived mine back again.

I like it for the compiler. So easy to compile Windows application on Linux and vise versa - supporting all major OSes. If you had to go with C/C++ it becomes a much uglier solution and I hate Java.

Not sure I am qualified as "Advanced Linux user". There are always more advanced than me and always less advanced than me. But anyhow, for desktop I really like Xubuntu. I love the way it is so simple using XFCE and Ubuntu is quite largely supported. For servers I don't really much care but I use centOS.
