You _can_ write pathological code like the Everything example, but I can see this feature being helpful if used responsibly.

It essentially allows the user to check if a class implements an interface, without explicitly inheriting ABC or Protocol. It’s up to the user to ensure the body of the case doesn’t reference any methods or attributes not guaranteed by the subclass hook, but that’s not necessarily bad, just less safe.

That’s the opposite of what OP is observing. It’s easier to teach a domain expert “good enough” quantitative and technical skills than to teach a pure quant “good enough” domain expertise (and the corresponding intuition)

Just to rephrase the OP’s point, I think they are drawing a distinction between “a feature not directly advertised to the user” and “a feature not authorized by whatever chain of command is supposed to be followed at the developer”.

Isn’t their pricing pretty unfriendly? I was looking at the Thelio, which starts at $1000 and then any upgrade costs about sticker price. (e.g. upgrading to the i5-13600K, which retails for $320, costs $315.)

It basically seemed to translate to a $1k markup for assembling the PC (and the case, I guess).
