Since it's so cheap it will be very easy to build a cluster of this little things and start computing in prarallel. Since I'm also attending Udacity CS 101, where you learn to build your own search engine, I'm dreaming about a data center full of raspberry pi's crawling the web :)

no, you're wrong. the spiral-like patterns are the sleep cycles that gets disrupted by staying up late and waking up late in the day. The holiday are the periods that's all gray -> days with no connect in august

The implementation can't be that hard ... come on ... it's about doing some query on the database.

Search hacker news 19 years ago

that's what I was reffering to when I wrote "search with google and site:news.ycombinator.com"

heh ... I posted in an share-your-ideas last week about making a site that agragates the agregation sites and it seems that's just what picurls.com is all about. Taking the pictures from other sites like digg, readdit, del.icio.us and puting it all toghether. I think this can be done not only for pictures but for other things like videos, news, other-niches-categories.

aggregating the aggregation sites. Basiclly a site where you can make an account and have the news from digg, reddit, pligg and whatever other sites delivered to this one service. basicly I'm thinking about the user registring on this one site, and then this site registring to all other sites specific users that link back to the main-user. Kinda lika a pyramid ... don't know if this make sense (or if I'm expressing it well in english). This would also be used with social bookmarking sites (apparently 300 of this kind of sites exists - here is the list : http://www.ajaxflakes.com/web-20/social-bookmarking-sites-un...)

And if I'm going there : this site should provide web services that link to user's blogs.

This is my 2 cents.

Not really. There are articles worth submitting but because of user psychology and behavior it will not be posted. My logic is that the user will think: "Well, if you didn't want it when I was ready to give it to you, why bother to return and re-submit it". The software should come in the aid of the user, not the other way around. Of course, you might also take into consideration statistical behavior and think: "If a user will not submit it, then other user will come and do it" but that's really relaying on chance, and not a good plan to bet on it.
