I’m only interested in this because it is the first company I’ve seen try to completely wipe itself off the face of the earth in a little over a week. You won’t even be able to access your billing history after March 27 and there will be no support available after that date.

Because it opens them up to liability. The most experienced board members will leave the board deck behind so they don’t have a copy. They sure won’t go searching for things that aren’t presented in the board meeting. It’s better for them to blame and fire the CEO.

I would like to see them give us an option to turn HDR off. In some situations it is just too bright and in others too dark.

This is exactly the kind of failure Google is notorious for. Google has put me through their login purgatory multiple times where the only solution was to wait many days and try the same steps again until it works. I think it would be much easier to get this resolved with OpenAI than with Google.

I fondly remember opening up my Xbox to solder a mini board to the Xbox board. Later, they figured out how to add it without the additional board.

I don’t think Hacker News is the right place to post celebrity obituaries (see Diane Keaton earlier this week).

Also confusing when the SF Fire captain is on the radio telling people to evacuate to 100 ft above sea level right after a CalTech seismologist says it is unlikely to cause much of a tsunami due to being a strike-slip earthquake.

How did you handle missing data? I’ve used NOAA data a few times and I’m always surprised at how many days of historical data are missing. They have also stopped recording in certain locations and then start in new locations over time making it hard to get solid historical weather information.
