To me the hospitalization rate is most important.
* Overcrowded hospitals is what leads to large jumps in fatality rates.
* It only lags the date of infection by about a week.
* It also isn't subject to external factors like availability of tests. (Though availability of hospital beds is a factor later on)
The active dose is nowhere near the lethal dose. It is however close to the dose where you could see some minor damage to the liver. It causes problems because people are addicted to opioid drugs that are typically combined with acetaminophen, not because they are loading up on acetaminophen itself.
Windy has cool graphics, but it's only forecasted winds and not very granular. If you want to see actual wind observations from satellites check out ASCAT here[0] or here[1]

Sea level rise has regional variation due to the gravitational pull of the melting ice. When polar ice melts, there is less gravity at the poles so equatorial regions see higher sea level rise.

This is nothing compared to the estimated $3.5 billion to redirect the tracks underground in San Diego. Coastal bluff failures are occurring within several feet of the tracks on a regular basis. I spend time at this beach and I don't know how this track will be viable in a couple years, with or without rising sea levels. Once it is deemed unsafe, San Diego will be completely cut off by rail.

A glaring omission from this article is mention of the surfer who died from a brain eating bacteria [0] after visiting the pool in Waco.
The wave pool there is classified as a 'lake' so normal rules for chlorination and filtration don't apply.

This looks a lot more sophisticated than currently operating satellite wind mapping, which uses radar deflection off water to estimate wind speed and direction. I hope they make data as easily available as noaa:

There is a major difference between Gatorade and Powerade, which is the type of sugar.
Gatorade has glucose (aka dextrose, the same sugar as an IV bag) while Powerade has high fructose corn syrup.
Glucose can be used directly by your cells while fructose is metabolized in the liver first. So for quick relief from dehydration I choose Gatorade.
* Glucose = 100% dextrose
* table sugar / sucrose = 50% dextrose
* high fructose corn syrup = ~40% dextrose
Those are relevant facts but they leave out immigrants who are leaving voluntarily. I couldn't find anything within the last 6 months but there was recently a net outflow of undocumented immigrants [0]

My observation is that teens are taking jobs that were previously done by undocumented immigrants who have left due to the current political climate. I expect immigration policy could be more closely correlated with young men's labor than video games.
What is the energy density of a flow battery like this? It's hard to imagine it is anywhere near gasoline or a lithium ion battery.

Since Florida is near the equator, facing the same ocean as Greenland, and has subsiding land, it will likely experience more effects of sea level rise.

I agree with the author that the poems selected, and the questions about them, are awful. I also got a perfect score in a reading standardized test (ACT) many years ago but I had no idea how to answer the questions in the article.
The problem isn't that the author doesn't know the answers, it's that the test is looking for 1 correct answer. The point of reading and analyzing poetry is in the process and being able to explain your reasoning coherently.

If we find this astonishing, we are assuming that these features should be the Selectors: that reality should be as simple and unarbitrary as it could be. That assumption has, I believe, great plausibility. But, just as the simplest cosmic possibility is that nothing ever exists, the simplest explanatory possibility is that there is no Selector. So we should not expect simplicity at both the factual and explanatory levels. If there is no Selector, we should not expect that there would also be no Universe. That would be an extreme coincidence.
I'm surprised they ship with chromium, I have had a much better experience with firefox than Chrome on my low end laptop.
Does chromium have a smaller memory footprint than Chrome?

I have to admit I found it somewhat difficult, it's not surprising that most people performed poorly on it.
With large surf hitting the coast of California I thought it would be a good time to show my personal project. It is a visualization of wave buoy spectral and time series data, plus marine weather for surfers and boaters.

The ability to sail a boat up wind. The boats they used, catamarans, have a hard time sailing less than 90 degrees to the wind even today.
I've been using pyCharm for the last 2 years and its code completion has helped me code and learn at a much faster pace than other editors.
It offers code suggestions for any module that has been imported in addition to everything in the current script. Sublime and vim's code completion seem very primitive in comparison.
That said, I usually use the free Community Edition because it loads faster.
Locals usually have a way to get rid of street vendors that is effective, so finding out what that is in your locality is a good idea.
In Mexico, it's Hoy no (Not today) and it works pretty well.

One feature I would like is the ability to plot multiple axes via bubble plots- categorical data could be shown with colors and quantitative data with circle size. That way I could sort out monitors by price, size and response time for example.
