Glass recycling is very efficient, but manufacturing new glass is just cheaper. So without a government subsidy, it's usually not worth it for the recycling plant.

Do they dogfood these updates internally like Google does with Android and Chrome OS?
For some reason, "view source" gets the right list. Maybe a referer issue like someone else said.
It seems sort of questionable to use the list of things to not scrape as a starting point for scraping.... I mean, I get it's not actually enforced.
How do I run this/see the results? I'm a little lost.
I know, I thought it was a mistake but then I literally laughed out loud once I understood.
I don't disagree with you but I did find the linked article very interesting to read absent any context.
Social media communities really ought to observe a [...] rule
Oh honey....
(to be fair, it also gets power from the buttons)
It runs with that option but trees don't render properly so it's not perfect.
I did not know about that option!
It looks really cool and I'd love to play it but I don't have a Windows PC. Any chance you have plans to make it available on Linux/Steam Deck?
@dang this should have (2009) in the title
Interesting
It worked! :D
Sometimes the NOAA APIs don't return data according to the usual structure. I can't consistently reproduce it. If you can please let me know!
Lol I named my version "Bright Earth" as an opposition to dark sky (brightearth.app)
The maximum URL size is 2048
FYI, this is almost entirely untrue. Maybe for some old versions of IE, but modern browsers can handle extremely long URIs
Funnily enough, your comment is now the top search result for that query....
Shameless plug: my (free, ad-free) side project does this too: https://codewich.com
It worked for the code for my personal website at ca.lebe.gg

It's very impressive!
An excellent watch
The local fox network affiliates aren't generally strongly connected to the news/misinformation cable channel. It would be like boycotting The Simpsons because of fox news.
I find it truly baffling how articles nowadays have three headlines: the one in the URL, the one in the page title (shown by the browser) and the actual one on the page:
heathrow-tells-all-airlines-to-stop-selling-any-flights-until-11th-september
Heathrow tells BA (and other airlines) to stop selling tickets for the Summer period
SOLD OUT: Heathrow tells all airlines to stop selling ANY flights until 11th September
Isn't that just much more work for so little "benefit" (SEO?)
Anyway, now none of them match the title on HN, so I have no answer to your question.
Fascinating link, I've never heard of these micromice before
To be honest, I find those 'st' ligatures incredibly distracting. Is there a way to turn that feature off in Chrome?
Something I recently found out about is you can go to https://docs.new to create a new Google doc.
It's a definitional distinction. The "black laptop market" is different from the "white laptop market", in much the same way as luxury good markets work (see also: the Apple Watch Edition). It's the same as with haircuts -- women have proven by and large to be willing to pay more for haircuts than men, so women's haircuts cost more, in general. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gender-based_price_discriminat...
Price discrimination gets a bad rep because of the name I think, but as Wikipedia points out student discounts are probably the best example and are basically uncontroversial.
I can't find a citation now, but my understanding of why these test use bluetooth is that the FDA + CDC want to know how many people are testing positive. So the app has to report results to them.
