Isn't the future of the industry specialized chips like those that Broadcom and Cerebras are making? I don't know how much longer I can tolerate 50 tokens per second. It feels like the dial-up era.
Because value of a project is not in the code produced. It's in the amount of battle-testing that code has seen.
It is in the marketing. Most software engineers are not skilled at marketing, do not have a large audience, and are not willing to spend money on advertising. It has nothing to do with code quality.
I find it to be excellent. I have three Pro subscriptions so I can build stuff 24/7. I only use GPT 5.5 xhigh. Before 5.5 I wasted a lot of time with bugs. I want to make sure that doesn't happen again -- if I can help it.
