No one thinks in spoken language.

I generally do. I see the words as I think them. Spelling and sound. It’s weird I guess, though I never thought of it being weird until now.

Dozens of franchisees lost their life savings. Others reportedly filed for bankruptcy. The company’s new CEO, Michel Buchbut, admitted mistakes but defended the company to Restaurant Business, saying, “I cannot call it a Ponzi … It was not exactly a Ponzi.”

Not exactly, huh? I’m going to be very interested to read the report when the FTC completes their investigation (assuming they follow Senator Feinstein’s request)

Not really, you just need to incentivise the behaviour. Pass a law to make it illegal to show ads based on tracking, with executive imprisonment for violations. Executives will then demand their teams to put controls in place to ensure that no one is using tracking to show ads. Violations of HIPAA have some serious fines, and I've watched executives at all levels take it VERY seriously

503 error now. Hug of death. What was it? Sounds like a game from some of the comments...

Yes, predatory. From the article:

The disabled man’s attorney, Tanya E. Moore, for years has been the subject of much scrutiny for suing thousands of small businesses across the South Bay, filing more than 1,400 ADA cases in recent years. The suits have forced mom and pop shops like Cafe Crema to close, as many owners can’t afford to bring their businesses up to code or settle. A little less than three years ago, a beloved San Jose staple, Time Deli, had to shut its doors for the same reason.

About two years ago, Moore was faced with a federal racketeering civil lawsuit for filing lawsuits based on “false allegations” of disability and injury, first reported by the Fresno Bee.

I wonder how many businesses will be left when Moore is done.

2/ You get to build a blended purchase price which is less dependent on the circumstances of a particular moment in time.

This is essentially Dollar Cost Averaging... which is a recommended approach when you psychologically fear the risk of lump sum investments (though, lump sum investments are expected to have a higher return than DCA, at least in the case of index fund investing)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dollar_cost_averaging

The book "Blood, Sweat, and Pixels" mentions Fig. It was started by several gaming industry developers/producers saw the success that Kickstarter offered the gaming industry.

Premium economy between Western Europe & the States is short enough that it isn't really worth it to me, but the States to Asia Pacific is generally worth it. 14-28 hour travel is much more awful.

I don’t buy into the idea that big law firms are more accountable than anyone else.

That’s not what the previous person said. People just think they’re paying a premium to get it done right, when as you point out, price is uncorrelated to correctness

I think Google uses phone sensors to tell motorbikes apart form cars

While they could, I doubt they do... do you have evidence of this?
