Perhaps it's pretentious because you're _not_ an artist. The labels matter, to an extent. I'd rather see a movie from a filmmaker over a movie from a content creator, for instance.

I would say creating content isn't important until you reach a critical mass of users (at which point it might help you stay relevant), since I don't think it converts well when you're a smaller creator.

To that end, I don't like creating that corpus of work _for social media_. As a musician, I don't think it converts to ticket sales. At a certain level it's required to keep a musician's name in the conversation if you're, say, a big EDM artist, but at that level it's nothing more than just a "dumb piece of content" without any of the labor of love you mentioned.

So then where as a musician does the content go on the internet if it doesn't convert? I feel I'd be better off putting up posters outside venues or some of those roller glue posters on boards in the artsy part of town.

I made "Tetris - Plant Piece Edition" using the help of the Claude Code. I hope to have it hosted in the coming week, I'm just so lazy with hosting and those type of things nowadays.

Essentially, this Tetris variant adds one change: a single 1x1 square that once placed, every turn it "grows up" by one. That is, once you place it, it will be a 1x1 square. Once you place the next piece, it will be a 2x1 piece. Then after the next piece it will be a 3x1 tall piece. It gets out of control if you don't manage it, but is actually a pretty fun addition. Maybe I'll make a post when it's finally hosted.

Email really is the superior choice. You subscribe to the ads you want to see (then unsubscribe from them later). You are your own targeted advertiser with email. No need for a third party to collect my blood type to get me more relevant ads, just have every retailer have a little checkbox "would you like to subscribe to our ads?" at point-of-sale.

Coding for other people is like playing tennis for other people. You're signed as a tennis player to win. If a robot could play for you and win more games for you, you might consider using it. Now, I'm not saying AI tools let you "win," but I am saying a lot of people don't code "for the love of the game;" they code to keep the lights on.
