totally of topic... as a previous Arch user, I switched to POP-OS with my new laptop, simply because it worked out of box with everything, and I struggled to even make a proper SMB connection to windows network with ARch... not to mention automatical USB stick mounting etc... However, as someone who would like to get back to Arch because gnome uses so much power, and I am missing the simplicity of Arch, is there some good tutorial to make it a decent distro right after installation including the sound, nvidia graphic, network settings, display (with external usbc connected display) etc...

If you invest some time building your own linux environment, e.g. Xfce or openbox, or kde.. You will probably found that once it completely works the way you customize it, it will work until You break it. I've seen testimonials of guys using rolling releases of Linux or, some debian based distro that runs for years without any issue. No scam installed alongside your OS. Well... I use arch btw.

The only reason I am still using windows is MS office. I might give it a try myself... My home machine is running Arch linux and works flawlessly for more then two years already. Just my work is still stucked with a lot of documentations sharing between some other people and I need MS office programs which have no alternative in open-source word. well, the office.com looks promising these days and I hope to switch completely ASAP.

its extremely expensive. Usually small laptop is not your main computer, so I guess you don't want to spend fortune on it.

x240 and t440 are way too expensive here in Europe. They cost like 3 year old used car :-).

But is it good with linux, does it recognizes touch screen normally?

Besides XPS 13, I really like xps 12 flip thing, which is great to have maybe once in three months, but its nice to have :D... I am not sure are xps 13 repositories playable for xp13 as well?!
