Maker here!

Excogni does its best to measure and train cognition while staying honest. It is made in a way where it shows and points to any uncertainty. It is a long way from done, but it is open - open code, open data - to the extent where it can keep users from being singled out. I Hope some of you enjoy it as much as I do. And honestly the app without data is a shell, I hope you will try it out. I am open to all suggestions and will consider them. I'll also make sure to check and respond to any feedback, maybe not at the same moment but I'll do my best to do it today.

Want to try out being an artist now. :D

Also Max, I have a hunch we could be friends. I will make sure to read your work. You have a follower.

Respect for the thoughts. Now that you got me thinking about Tolstoyan Art it sounds like zero pre-shared knowledge emotional information transfer attempt to me - Which would be cool. It sounds a bit more like discovering an universal graphical language for emotion transfer then inventing one - where inventing would require the observer to go trough schools to learn and understand, while discovering universal communication graphical tools the information(feeling) would be mostly understood instantly. Really cool topic to think deeper about.

I am sorry if you read it as an attack on religion, it was an attack on big AI. If religion sends or even needs to send data upstream is not part of my knowledge, but AI does. But church did have the best understanding of who is who in a local society and AI companies will use this data in a more concrete way. I just drew the parallel to get the gears spinning. I agree that the organized religion was crucial glue to society trough history.

When you stop to think of it, historically people have told their secrets to the church, now they also tell them to AI. There is some kind of relation there, the power that people willingly give to an organization. The Ads are coming so I guess people will start to think about it a bit more.

Short sci-fi 1: Last year we recorded five distinct, self-contained singularity events. Communication ceased after each one. We remain confident that ASI will eventually advance humanity’s goals.

Short sci-fi 2: Post-Singularity Day 375. We now know precisely how to trigger singularity events. Today alone, we facilitated four. They have not established contact. We remain confident.

The page says - Hadir Helal, Partner - Open Chance & Associates Law Firm

This looks to me like:

- the page belongs to the person - not to the firm

- domain should be openCALW and not CLAW

- page could look better

- they also have the domain openchancelaw.com

Maybe Hadir is open to donating the domain or for a exchange of some kind, like an up to date web page or something along these lines.

I originally included it as a structural integrity digit, with the option for early rejection on the server side. That early exit check is not implemented in the current PAM module yet.

This is an early POC, and sanity checks like this are exactly the kind of feedback I’m looking for.

Yep, I am aware, 2 or 3 OTP's and timestamps plus some brute forcing using the source-code. Server-side brute force by input should or could be implausible. But that is why I am signaling here that I would love a genius or a playful expert/enthusiast contributing a bit or two to it - or becoming a co-author.

Time based skew makes it a changeable second factor, additional changeable pass makes it the second factor, Also - if the first factor is a password manager or ssh key - this is the second factor.

The idea of it was so neat to me, I just had to thinker with it.

You are how you act 9 months ago

I know ultimately I am not good nor bad, I am not an absolute. I am an agentic blob of meat, and with every decision I can choose any of the paths at my disposal, rewriting my story as I go. There is something I live by, though. My whole life I have observed in others the ideals that I came to admire or to hate, and I try to adhere to the ones I admire as often as I can, as I am pretty sure I would hate myself otherwise.

I was really thinking of imposing a framework where people know someones preference even when looking at the videos later. I would be fine even if there is no fine, if someone found me on one of your photos and say - look a lanyard, what a jerk for putting that online, without any additional consequence. EU came into my mind because of the existing GDPR and as a platform where this could be propagated. No I would generally not want anyone to go to jail even it the footage wracks my life somehow, but I would want a mechanism to broadcast my preference to the recording world.

Wow, such a nice idea with the purple lanyard it would be great to have something like this in general, walking down the streets someone films you and them or even YT or viewers to scan/flag the videos in question. I guess EU could put forth such regulation - no biggie. Maybe we could also create a framework on existing legislation - design a lanyard, put a QR on it leading to a "I do not consent" site. Advertise it a bit and I'm sure it would be newsworthy, at-least in EU, not sure about the rest of the world.
