I am kinda too young to play the original but as I love worms I also like this. Nice game. How similar is it to the original?

Exploration of theoretical futures where Artificial Superintelligence (ASI) emerges, could it be a natural continuation of life as we know it?
So, there is this guy in Croatia who specializes in collecting, cataloging, and sharing tomato seeds for free. He also creates his own varieties.

The post "On Possible Futures" explores the intersection of AI development, ethical considerations, and their impact on society. It delves into speculative scenarios to provoke thought on how technological advancements may shape humanity's future.
@andrewp123 cool blog post, tried the experiment like this (the result - 0 is kinda of anticlimactic):
Statement: I will make a minimal BTC transfer today, May 11. 2024, as near noon UTC+2 if the outcome is 1/true.
Result: [ { "0": 0.5140027374683648, "1": 0.4859972625316353 } ] So now we have(will) also split the bitcoin hash forever in more than 2 different branches (I guess way more than 2).
@andrewp123 Check my blog post. https://initsix.dev/in-finite-central-curve/ ,feedback appreciated :D
Maybe, that would be funny. ~7 requests per minute would be a more dev-friendly way of enforcing the same quota.
Hi Jeff, Great work, Respect!
I just hit the daily limit on the second request at https://climate-api.open-meteo.com/v1/climate
I see the limit for non-commercial use should be "less than 10.000 daily API calls". Technically 2 is less than 10.000, I know, but still I decided to drop you a comment. :)
F... the on fire part :D
No idea
My solution is to "meditate" on the ideas and write blog posts, so that I don't bore my friends with the topics, anyone can read the blog or contact me if they really want to.Some time ago, I wondered if there was a way to be able to orient ourselves in an infinite multiverse. You know, the type where every option that could ever happen and every decision that could ever happen happened somewhere. In that kind of multiverse, we could think about our choices and their repercussions as being at the spear-tip of infinite possible universes...
Also, all art illustrations were done via DALL·E on the first or second prompt try. The prompts that were used are available under the images.
At the end or start of the work day works best for me.
After lunch break or meetings is also great.
Wow! I am not a gamer, but the sound transitions are really impressive. Nice job explaining it Isao.
Nice, but not perfect:
``` You said: "strace -p $(ps aux| grep server.py| grep -v "grep"| awk -F ' ' '{print $2}')".
To strace the server, first you need to find its PID. You know that the program is called server.py. ```
No, not yet, but like to daydream :D
The tech is here, or almost here so there is a possibility for development of new ways of interacting with data and integrating it in our lives.
I mean, as a kid I was jealous of the people who experienced the PC revolution. What a time to be alive,but I was wrong. This is the time to be alive if you are into computers and development. I guess the playground is now opened for a big leap forward, and with accessible HW and open source SW, it could be grit and vision that determines who does something spectacular now.
Oh, it's human music! Love it.
This is my favorite so far, especially the lyrics :D Had to leave the office, to not disturb anyone with my laughter. https://soundcloud.com/openai_audio/classic-pop-in-the-style...
Yes
I was thinking a lot on this topic in the last few months, Jumping out from sleep to check on my kid between 3 and 10 times a night, I noticed that I can awake fully, or not, depending on a conscious decision. It would be great to track that scientifically.
Insert "search engine" instead of "Wikipedia" and I am sold.
In regards to the immersive experiences comment, if we share the augmented experience, we could also use AR to statically or permanently build AR layers on top of our physical surroundings, removing the need to buy some of the appliances and decorations that we presently use. Why buy and deliver physical accessories when you can present them via AR. And if we use that kind of setup, our surroundings could be full of immersive experiences.
Thank you. I am putting The Golden Age on the top of my reading list. Any other recommendations?
...Have you ever walked outsides thinking about all the accessible information on animals, plants, items, or even people? How much information is available on the internet? How many facts have you already forgotten?...
I hope to spark an interesting conversation in the comment section.
Here is my two cents, maybe not entirely on topic.
It seems to me, that an being at peace with it self has no need to change or make progress in any direction.
Human actions, and progress seem to originate from various needs we have, and not from a peace of mind.
Just a personal experience: I remember stuttering as a kid, I was able to figure out that I stutter when I can't remember a word fast enough to say it, long story short I was able to train my self to stay silent until I remember the word I am about to say. I think now it is not even noticeable.
I just noticed I am still doing this in the same way, a colleague just autocompleated my sentence. :)
I am not sure how I will use it, I will need to edit my markdown docs for this to make sense, BUT it is just beautiful!
Thank you!!
There is no tangible evidence of mass executions [taking place in the Jasenovac concentration camp]
Shame that there are no links in the article pointing to the Croatian wiki articles in questions, the one on Ante Pavelić, for instance, states that the estimated number of victims in Jasenovac is 70 000 - 80 000 people. "Među ustaškom logorima najpoznatiji je Sabirni logor Jasenovac, gdje je, prema pretpostavkama, stradalo od 70 000 - 80 000 ljudi." https://hr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ante_Paveli%C4%87
