The solution exists in the financial controls world. Agent = drafter, human = approver. The challenge is very few applications are designed to allow this, Amazon's 1-click checkout is the exact opposite. Writing a proxy for each individual app you give it access to and shimming in your own line of what the agent can do and what it needs approval is a complex and brittle solution.

With 10x the infrastructure they could iterate much faster, I don't see AI infrastructure as a bubble, it is still a bottleneck on pace of innovation at today's active deployment level.

I believe we'll see the benefits and drawbacks of AI augmentation to humans performing various tasks will vary wildly based on the task, the way the AI is being asked to interact, and the AI model.
English football, unlike tic-tac-toe, can be thrilling and end in a draw. Possession mix, shots on goal, and more stats are useful to determine how exciting a match was from a box score.
Frankly, for me the most boring is a 2-0 win where the team scores those 2 in the first 20 to 30 minutes, swaps to a 5-4-1, and plays tiki-taka passing possession control without trying hard to advance the ball for the remaining hour of the match.

With their endowment above $50 billion, combined with Federal plus Non-Federal sponsored revenue at 16% of operating budget, it makes sense to me they just forgo Federal funds and operate independently.
If all 16% is canceled, then they'd need to draw an additional $1 billion per year from endowment at current budget levels.
That would put them above 7% draw so potentially unsustainable for perpetuity, historically they've averaged 11% returns though, so if past performance is a predictor of future, they can cover 100% of Federal gap and still grow the endowment annually with no new donations.

Another use with barbed wire, we ran an x.25 network across it on a very large ranch with nodes 1 mile apart.
With network monitoring we could now detect breaks in the fence at a 1 mile increment to let the ranch hands know where to go and when it broke.
Did you try to use GPT 3.5? Our testing is it isn't great, using GPT 4 or some of the specialized trained versions of GPT 4 (there's one with good reviews called Lisp Engineer) our experience has been different.
It is not replacing engineers, it isn't one where you give it a broad set of requirements and it just goes and builds, it is helping increase productivity, to get folks through areas where they need to bounce ideas off of someone.
We're coding mostly in Python, C++, and .NET Core where I do expect it'll have a much deeper set of training data than it will for Lisp (and even for those languages we're getting marginally better performance from specialized engines than we are general GPT 4).
The non-OpenAI other coding AIs so far are all performing worse for us than GPT4. We've done testing against LeetCode challenges and a bunch of other things.

TLDR: This is a real thing, turbines have built in protection, and there innovating on the whole system to really do this. It's a potential game changer vs. trying to build seawalls or levees.

Interest rates have a large indirect impact on their business, not in the day to day operations but in the value of the future cash flows vs. risk free rate.
Super simplifying, if risk free interest rate is 0% then you can value current cash flow the same as future ones. When you have 5% risk free in 14 years that new dollar is worth half of what it is today.
This has big impact on enterprise value for growing businesses.
