This project made me wonder if a "physical virtual printer" exists?

I'd love to send print jobs to a "non-physical" printer that any OS (and/or Adobe DC Reader) sees as a "completely legit, real, physical printer".

In other words, not just the "Print to PDF" option/dialog on the OS. Then after "printing", have a valid PDF appear on that device's target storage itself (eMMC/SD Card/SMB share...)?

In the F.A.Q they mention that it can be modified for telescopes:

1) Conserves the autofocus feature.

Which kind of debug probe did you use for it? I've been told that it's not regular OSS/OpenOCD/JTAG toolchain but something Hitachi-specific called H-UDI (proprietary JTAG extension)?

I'm actually surprised that nobody tried to poke into those lines yet and built something similar to https://hackaday.com/2021/07/05/how-to-drive-smartphone-scre... but for the camera.

Actually, since that project above links to a iPhone 4 screen as an example, I'd perhaps err into probing for MIPI signals on an iPhone 6S camera first, perhaps using sth like https://hackaday.com/2018/11/29/mipi-csi-2-implementation-in...?

Good question! I've always wondered what would be required (in terms of equipment and raw materials) to make those reagents, I'm really curious to know how those get synthesized to and the level of purity/quality required for a successful sequencing run.
