My few cents:

1. Visibility over actual completion of work (presentations, sessions, etc.,)

2. Communication (mainly over email! because email is used as a golden truth when there is a conflict between individuals or teams)

3. Getting to know other members/teams (you don't know when you will end up collaborating with them)

4. Being thorough with reviews (be it code or ideas)

5. Proactively participate in meetings (1. to grab the opportunity 2. refuse to take up the work which is not actually yours)

6. 1x1s - if the manager/management doesn't see your name often you end up in the list (you know what list)

7. Before asking questions in the Slack channel or meetings or an email (do the groundwork, a basic question from a senior will cost a lot)

8. OOO - religiously setting out-of-office saves you lot of troubles

9. Collaboration is only on paper, actually you should put a border around your team and work to guard what's rightfully yours, otherwise the other team will showcase it as theirs!

10. Don't respond on weekends, even if it will break the company. Once you set the bar, you will be expected to live within that bar.

11. There is nothing like "this is critical", what's critical will always have some buffer, tell the truth and ask for extension.

12. Don't go harsh on anyone in a corporate environment, because you will end up working with that person.

13. Attend org wide presentations, you get to know something new or you get to know whom to reach out for what or you get to know what shouldn't be presented

I too feel overwhelmed by this sudden rush towards *GPT. The content generated by AI is slowly erasing the line between the creative content and computer generated content. I remember last year when so many people earning or trying to earn by creating art forms to sell as NFT. Once Dall-E landed, then the originality quotient of any creative content is lost. Likewise, ChatGPT is going to erase the originality in text content. Once internet is mixed with AI generated content, then there is no going back. We can't find what's real work, what's AI generated.

As an Indian I'm proud of what Zoho has achieved. Mainly the founder Sridhar Vembu is down to earth & thinks for the well being of employees and society along with keeping customers in prime seat. Breaking conventional wisdom Zoho opened offices in tier 2 & tier 3 cities of India. Which made it possible for smaller cities to see growth induced by high earning employees of Zoho.

First coinbase should provide basic features to users before stepping up the Privacy. There is no way for a user to delete coinbase account. Looking around the web I realised its a dark pattern in their design.

I really appreciate the Thunderbird development team for proactively going through the list of add-ons and reaching out to the add-on developers if there is any concern to be addressed before moving the add-ons to 102. I can feel the commitment to keep Thunderbird a great email client.

Thank you for the comment. Bookmarklet is a quick solution, but competes for area in bookmarks bar. This extension/add-on helps those on both the sides of web technologies. Even if one know or doesn't know bookmarklets, the experience of opening a URL through a contextmenu is an unique experience to explore.

With respect to barriers, the change in APIs used to achieve the same task. For example Chrome, Edge, Opera, Brave support the extension APIs from Chrome. Whereas Firefox & Safari support the extension APIs from Mozilla. Also there is an ongoing push from Chrome to move to manifest v3 which brings in new features & security (service workers, extended scope), but that leads to rework for extensions developed in manifest v2. So, there is always a catchup to be done, if browsers introduce new APIs or change the way the APIs should be used then there is a constant effort required to keep the extensions working.

Yes, it's free and good. Im not complaining about the Google Maps as a product, but i'm complaining about the system built around Google Maps. 1. I don't know how many contributors of Google Maps know the API side of the story. If they knew that will they be ready to contribute for free? 2. Though Google might have touched about selling user data in Terms & Conditions, the Terms & Conditions themselves are big trap worded with complex sentences having many pages. Yes, i may be lazy/dumb not to go through pages of T&C, and i accept that part of my mistake. 3. For a Google Maps contributor, when they contribute apart from giving them the points and appreciation, Google never tells them their contributed data is going to be sold in the form of API (in a visible manner). Whereas in YouTube the contributors do know, they may get compensated upon N number of views.

In overall the point is similar to everyone's complaint on Google, "User data is being used to their favour" but my expectation is for Google to openly and visibly tell that so all the competitors have level playing ground.

To be honest, until i saw the API side of Google Maps i was under the assumption that Google is doing great service with Google Maps. Even now Google Maps gives the accurate result thanks to all the contributors.

They should avoid using the word community, if side product of these contributions are going to empower their sales. I had been contributing to Google Maps for more than 8 years now, but in return all i get is stars and maximum an invite to a meetup. But, when i saw the other side of Google Maps with respect to consuming it through API usage point of view, the prices are not affordable in long term. Also, there is a clear monopolization of maps data, but the data is enriched by human volunteers who never get the share of API revenue. In this age of web3 all these crowdsourcing and community keywords from companies like Google will earn more backlash than a warm welcome.

ReDGene - Relational Data Generator is a tool aimed at taking control over the data generation with being able to generate column vectors in a table with required type, interval, length, cardinality, skewness and constraints like Primary Key, Foreign Key, Foreign Key(unique 1:1 mapping), Composite Primary Key and Composite Foreign Key.

And this is DB agnostic, it generates data in the form of flat files which can be imported into any database which supports importing data from flat files.

Somehow the apps which are using Electron don't care about RAM. I always use Evernote in browser in a desktop, likewise Slack. Slack app in Mac is horrible.

I have been using Evernote for 10 years. Initially i was on free plan, but the upload limit made me opt for Evernote premium. With premium i never faced an issue with adding a note, searching a note and adding images. I really like their easy integration with browsers and apps. Saving an article is a breeze. Likewise PDFs. As i could see so many complaints from others, there seems to be buggy areas in Evernote. Wish Evernote takes it as constructive feedback and make its product a reliable one. Because, being reliable for so many years means a lot.

NFT world is mostly filled with modern art forms which are never seen. If Dall-E can make such images out of the box in seconds, then it looks like AIs can take over NFT world like storm. May be already its happening, and i just didn't know!

We are nothing but a future memory in people's mind. So, even if we can make a difference in one person's life, that should be it. Well it would be nice to be on the good side of memory. To make memories we have to do something. Doing what we love and making an impact is a win-win. All the best.
