I am doing the same exact thing with my domain and getting spam to accounts such as ParkNYC (NYC parking payment app) and other companies that should be safe.

You are right, but it is so frustrating how people whine about this.
Copilot is fair use, get over it!
Copilot is not writing your code any more that Google search is writing your code. You are writing your code, and Copilot is just making suggestions.
US constitution secures limited copyright to "To promote the progress of science and useful arts". Copilot is just that, get over it!
"Hi folks! I've been working for the past 6 months on a new talk show, Stevey's Tech Talk. I just dropped the first 16 episodes of "Season 1" on YouTube: https://lnkd.in/grihDH6p
This show is aimed at both technical and non-technical viewers. I talk about the Big Tech industry and cover lots of different topics, aimed at both educating and entertaining. I have almost 30 guests lined up for next season!
This is obviously a big crazy new adventure for me. I have noooo idea where it will lead, but I'm committed now, so we'll see! I hope you enjoy it. Please feel free to share with friends to help my little adventure get off the ground. I will start on Season 2 soon, and try to post a new episode every week."
I wonder if the company's success is not because Clojure is a marvelous language for building systems, but because Clojure is a marvelous people filter?
The board does not remove a CEO it is happy with for something this trivial, because it is too disruptive to the company. This was probably used as a pretext in a power struggle.
The TikToker has more or less direct relationship with the viewers and customers (advertisers). Developer who does not own the customer relationship is interchangeable and will not be paid on a star level.
Would be great to be able to have bookmarkable links to individual rooms.
Lots of imported liquor was sold in "Berezka" - foreign currency shops opened to foreigners.
The article is misleading, in implying that `switch(true)` is a special case: "The fundamental principle of the switch true pattern is that you can match against expressions as well as values."
It should be states as "The fundamental principle of the switch pattern in JavaScript is that you can match against expressions as well as values."
From https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/JavaScript/Refe...:
A switch statement first evaluates its expression. It then looks for the first case clause whose expression evaluates to the same value as the result of the input expression
This is not overnight!
This person worked for a startup for likely several years to get her grant sufficiently vested to be valued at $6M.
"Many people assume I am a good middle class person" is what many people consider a "privilege".
Ouch, is that where the heat dissipates from?
Selling when others are prevented from buying is not in the interest of the seller.

Old tech companies had heavy machinery and workers were relatively easy to train and replace. The high-tech companies are nothing without their workers. I think in the future the high tech employees unions will be able to steer a larger share of profits towards themselves.
Hi, I am collecting data for my own purposes, and in exchange for your data I'll give you some snarky comments.

The first one is less annoying, but the follow-up nagging is infuriating.
Follow up many times | You won’t make people mad if you’re polite.
I am getting lots of emails from outsourcing companies. I ignore them. I find their follow up emails extremely frustrating.
"Thanks for taking the time to read this email. After I sent my previous email (See below) I had put a reminder in to check-in with you to see how things were going with the need of a Data Engineering."
Why should I care about your reminder?
I suppose it depends on what “changes” means.
Don't pull Bill Clinton [1].
When enough people complain you made changes that are material and detrimental.

> Do not make changes to ongoing cohorts We really try to avoid doing so, but in some instances it is impossible.
You sold students something you can't implement. Apologize and offer a full refund.
Nice!, Onion worthy :)
Employees take less cash in exchange for equity. They earn the equity as a part of compensation. Under what theory you want to claw it back?
In addition employers are protected by a vesting cliff, and after that it is their fault if they keep underperforming employee around.
Thanks Victor, this is really useful and well written.
They will shut it down as soon as someone implements apt-get like feature.
They are signalling that they are willing to protect future leakers of embarrassing information.
As a data point, I also found the cooking examples confusing. Probably because I am more familiar with programming languages than cooking :)
The inner lambda should have been a separate function with a test :)
Chances of rolling below 5 are 4x4/36 = 16/36, so above are 20/36
