I understand. It seems like too much, but I've no intention of storing or doing something with the data. Spotify API lets us follow artists, like songs through the app, and create playlists. Also, there is a built-in player that we can listen to the songs and playlists directly without opening the Spotify app.

You should try, pretty cool.

UX def sucks. I don't understand how a design-focused company that invests so much into its design teams (www.spotify.design) can create a user interface so cluttered and hard to navigate to find music. After years of using it, I've recently discovered (on mobile) that they've hidden the search and sorting on top of the playlists.

My home page is full of things I'm not interested in; there is no way to customize which are displayed. And enough of pushing podcasts.

I've created a (free) web app using Spotify API, Echoes, with a simple interface to see your top artists and songs, it also has a New Discovery section to generate playlists based on your listening algorithm.

Poorer education levels are more likely the bigger threat to humanity though.

Already doing a great damage, especially in third world countries, where manipulation from authorities are superior due to lack of education.

That was a nice way to explain, thank you! And also was a reminder for me that living daily with all these technological developments, one loose the perception of that we are the current cavemen of future societies. After 100,000s of years, all these will the first paintings on the walls.

Thank you for your comment. You are right about Orwell, he and his books has influence on me. He's a great author, so let's agree on good :) Also, I was born in 1984, fav commercial Ridley Scott shot for Apple's Macintosh personal computer launch, and a couple of things.

1984.design is a passion project for me, after 15 years of a design career, I like to share knowledge more than serving clients and their projects. That's why I'm putting my efforts into learning and growing together with fellow designers while I'm getting older.

I just want to do what I love, without getting caught up in thinking about competition. There is a small knit of people we can build great communities with. And that would be enough for me. I love IxDF btw, they provide excellent education for affordable prices and 1984 is a certified educational partner.

And let's take a note here why using third-party software sucks, you can't even change the logo to go to home page. Which should be because it is a common habit, I don't even put "home" to top navigations and menus as people are clicking logos to navigate to the main page.
