I would say the ads on that website add to the low quality feeling. a full screen add titled "people that live longer sleep differently than ordinary people" with a skeleton sleeping. looks super fishy and gives the impression of a content farm

Losing my son 3 years ago

I find it a bit insensitive to tell 'what he has to do' while not being in his situation. I do believe that you believe this and this comes from a good place but I can imagine that this can be quite a sting if he tried everything and then has to read this

I am right now in Sri Lanka and couldn't connect to a WiFi that I connected to after I still was on airplane mode. After reading that support thread I could reproduce this issue. It really seems that WiFi networks are not discoverable in Sri Lanka when your device 'recognises' via connecting to the carrier that it is in Sri Lanka

These short (~8min) documentaries are of outstanding quality. They cover various topics, from science, philosophy to some thought provoking topics while always maintaining a neutral stance and making sure that all the sources are stated so that the viewer can validate the statements and form his own opinion. This channel is marvelous.

If you follow American media then you will realise that there is a strong trend towards fighting systemic racism and fighting systemic discrimination of LGBTQ. As a German it is unbelievable to watch to what extent they are doing this. It seems it got to an extent where there is a forced ideology where anybody remotely identifying as somewhat liberal feels forced to follow. From what I can see on the internet, any discussion about these topics is almost immediately hijacked by ideological views and thus an objective discussion prevented.

Electron 7.0 7 years ago

that 'minor' convenience is a quite huge one given that he stated that the other apps wouldn't exist if not for electron.

Since the creator points out that he doesn't store any IP addresses, he doesn't store any data that allows identifying an individual. For the GDPR to be applicable you need to store data that allows you to identify an individual. Thus when you use this, you don't have to think about GDPR.

this is a very limited mindset. Poor people that are not able to move into middle class will in the long run cause a lot of instability. Poverty and level of education are correlated. Living in a democracy with more people being poorer opens the door to populists with short sighted politics (hi Donald)
