I stand by the fact that a skilled editor cutting like hell across movies 2 and 3 to a singular sequel could save that story

How are the fan/noise levels?
I'd be interested to know how the feelings change if theyve owned the piece of furniture for like a year, rather than having just felt the efforts of putting it together, etc. ie. does the value of the build effect drop off a cliff after the efforts of putting it together are no longer relevant to the builder.
I mean you can literally run HL: Alyx on the quest 2 so this doesnt really hold up?
"If employment is terminated for any reason or no reason at all by either employee or employer within the first year, incentives must be returned. "
good luck with that...
But what you will absolutely find is people for example lumping Asian people together, whether theyre from Japan, China, Korea, etc.
It seems like multimillion $ companies everywhere can simultaneously declare widely that mobile is their future, point to stats like 75%+ usage of their services is through the app interface, and then basically their entire dev/maintenance crew is one person stretched across multiple projects already.
I really hope Apple does a refresh of the current ipod touch before they kill the line. Yeah theres all the stuff about screentime and kids etc. but sometimes we are stuck in a horrible waiting room like a hospital ER and you jsut want them to be able to occupy themselves without it having to be an educational experience of some kind (just like the rest of us).
Can even use it for facetime and so only contacts in the devices are grandparents and us.
The iPod touch is so good for that, but worried theyre going to kill it off...
Backblaze has been a godsend for me - I've been paying for years and only used it 2 or 3 times but both were recovery of files I NEEDED and was so so happy to have stored in BB. The ability to pull an individual file as needed has been amazing.
Except Medium exists and this is still here??

We invest heavily in fighting child sexual exploitation online and use technology to deter, detect, and remove CSAM from our platforms. This includes automated detection and human review, in addition to relying on reports submitted by our users and third parties such as NGOs, to detect, remove, and report CSAM on our platforms. We deploy hash matching, including YouTube’s CSAI Match, to detect known CSAM. We also deploy machine learning classifiers to discover never-before-seen CSAM, which is then confirmed by our specialist review teams. Using our classifiers, Google created the Content Safety API, which we provide to others to help them prioritize abuse content for human review.
It's shame that after that entire explanation (the moon-earth firepole one) that he never actually answers the question of how long it would take...
All the complications you're describing can be helped with having a travel agent... this is literally why you pay someone a commission.
The idea that its just a massive waste of money among the tech space is hilarious when people will also make the most minute changes to their workflow to save fractions of a second, but not pay someone $50 to remove hours of headache from a fun event like a holiday.
Especially with the verge running headlines on it like "crank powered gaming" which theyve apparently now updated, its sure to confuse people
My flow out of development was:
Dev > moved to QA > moved to Tech Writing/Doc > moved to consulting > moved to business consulting. Ended up in managed services as business/support liason and went from there. Was a great mix of getting to use all my technical knowledge but in a non-development environment.
Its pretty common for Australian media to dredge up whatever loosely related celebrity news they can tack onto whatever load they're shovelling that day.
I feel like #1 is the reason that absolutely every useful web app is slowly becoming less useful to the people that use it every day by filling all the actual usable space with white to make their screenshots look better while all the power users get more and more irritated.
Even 'compact' views which seem to be a throwaway effort to alleviate these are becoming more and more spacious and forcing scrolling even on huge screens.
Since when do cover artists pay royalties?
Yeah but if every virus is modelled this way then the data is representative...
Unfortunately the number does not include insects etc, so the actual numbers are devastatingly higher than those stated
Does it seem strange that epstein would ask his accountant to move money around? Is this a normal accountant activity?
Comments like this look absolutely insane to anyone outside the US. Look at the numbers: https://edition.cnn.com/2018/05/21/us/school-shooting-us-ver...
Obviously the missing startup idea here is the company that integrates you with everyone as a service
For unlimited data with included international data... shouldnt I be able to sign up for this internationally and essentially get unlimited usage in my own country?
For example my phone plan costs over $100AUD so that I can get a measly 1GB of international roaming data.. this seems like it would be a better option?
I wish a passion project like this could be adopted into the PADI certification app.
The official app has a horrendous UI, and requires an internet connection to function, which basically makes it unusable in a huge number of places that are worth diving at.
The page talks about launching for a fraction of prior costs.
Does anyone know what a traditional cost would be vs the $2.25M quoted?
I mean you can look at how it was actually introduced: https://genius.com/Steve-jobs-ipod-introduction-annotated Jobs never claims he invented it, as always it refers to the company as "we" in all cases.
Doesnt really sound any different to media treatment of celebrities outside of Japan...
It doesnt even need to be lower cost, if they understand the business. We compete with a lot of startups (im not at a startup) that build their entire case on 'you are our entire client base, whatever you want, we can build' where our approach has to weigh up all client requests and build towards what we think the best overall solution is going to be.
For those clients its beneficial to them to go to someone new that will cater to their exact wants
