Playing with the 8 previews, I've had problems with the density of not-called-metro-anymore interfaces and a mouse. 90% of this looks workable, and hopefully the rest will follow.

Great that you care about this, but the environmental consequences have been largely invisible to Americans for many years. Be it CO2 or destroyed ecosystems in every oil producing country, the damage is largely done.

Yeah, that's why they're supported in PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, DB2, MSSQL, even SQLite... Multi-dimensional data isn't restricted to the world of GIS, and B-Trees are not up to the task.

The next three by units (Bridgestone, Michelin, Goodyear) all do commercial/industrial/aviation, I think Goodyear falls out a bit at the top end. 400 tonne trucks use Bridgestone/Michelin, the Airbus A380 uses Bridgestone, for what it's worth.

IE8 and Android 2.4 don't support it for one, but it does seem SVG has never really had traction. I've heard SVG has poorer rendering performance in most browsers (I'm not actually sure if that's true), and that some folks feel it makes it easier for their assets to be copied.

I had the same experience. Bumped to a manager that had me log in and disable it. A month later, it was on again.

It's because 4chan ran a campaign to get it there, not because of the content.

The article mentions that Google and others (Microsoft) got in on the same financing deal granting them similar licenses. RIM licensed the same portfolio this past March.

Anyone know why Google/MS/RIM haven't filed to intervene as well?

97% of production is in China, mostly from Bayan Obo and illegal operations in the south. They're thought to have 30-40% of identified REE reserves because the cost to mine & process them is prohibitive. China fixes REE prices to keep competitors out of the market and promote domestic manufacturing.

It's a pretty sizable deposit, but it's underground. That means it'll be pricier to extract, and not all of the ore can be mined. Looks like lower grade than the Chinese deposits currently mined too, and it's a different mix of elements.

It is working, just not for them. I use Quickbooks Online, Freshbooks and LessAccounting (rather disputing "They will never (99.9% never) try to replace their current accounting system"). I do SMB stuff. My primary accountant insisted on moving to Quickbooks Online five years ago. 100% web-based ever since and nearly everyone I know does the same, even if they're just making earrings.

Looking at their site, it seems like they don't have a compelling product to market. Add in that their tied to Shopify and don't solve most of the accounting problems that small businesses face, and it's not hard to see why their sales are bad.

Judges issue sealed warrants. My understanding is that an FOIPA request would acknowledge the existence of a sealed warrant and affidavit after they're executed though, unless they're part of a multi-part warrant. Search warrants expire in a matter of days. Since some or all of the hardware seems to have been returned, there's no reason for it not to show up in a properly worded FOIPA request.
