And a good faq: http://www.gwern.net/N-back%20FAQ
Cognitivefun also has a multimodal n-back, where you can customize most aspects of the test (sounds, images, speed run, double or triple n-back, number of trials):
@ "Yes, I know it works for you. This is not because of your superior mental discipline; it is because you have different genes, sir."
This sounds like an excuse, since nobody mentioned "superior mental discipline" but you. How did you measure gain in muscle?

Not reasuring re. justbuythisone.com
Nobody protests against the right of individual muslims to feel offended. People protest against the tendency for (some) muslims to try to impose their religious rules on nonbelievers by actual violence and the threat of violence. In the wider perspective this is a protest against the tendency to silence criticism of religions (or anything else) by using violence against the critics.
I understand the reason that this strategy works and why moderates don't actively distance themselves from it. By keeping silent and vague they will benefit from the power that the threat of violence gives. In Denmark there are quite a few places where the police can't operate on normal terms due to the mentality exhibited in the video above.
What I mean by double standard and excuses is the tendency to always add 'reasons' when it comes to islam.
Why do this behavior need to be taken on other terms than personal responsibility and the norms of civil conduct? It's not like the attackers - due to their religious affiliation and reasons derived from this - lack choice.
Why is a comparison impossible?
The attackers were swedish citizens.
This sounds exactly like the excuses and double standards I was refering to: "There is no excuse, but [insert excuse]."
Let me show you a recent example of what this is about:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfW95sSaVVo
This took place in a swedish university during a lecture about religion and freedom of speech. The video that Lars Vilks showed during this clip was made by an iranian artist. Before this he had showed examples of offensive material directed at christianity etc.
And there is a funny kind of double standard involved, because practically nobody objects when artists offend religions where the response to the alleged offence isn't violent.
EDIT: A few days after this attack, "somebody" tried to firebomb Vilk's house. All because of a series of rather tame drawings like this one:

You seem to imply that people primarely comment to get an orange highlight. I don't think the majority of users are that stupid.
Depends on technological developments. Why should the individual survival machine care about the adaptability of the species as a whole?
Why would you use a antiprocrastionation feature with a giant loophole? The override made the feature useless. Now it works and I am going to use it.
PG correcting this flaw has absolutely nothing to do with him "being your mother".
If you only need a reminder just set minaway to 1.
Well, how about: Not being a leech?

The paradox of anti-procrastination: You cannot outsmart yourself.
Good idea! Noprocrast with override option is (for me) about as effective as hiding the ice cream beneath a bag of frozen peas would be for a kid.
You could limit the max length of minaway to prevent people from accidentally blocking the site forever. I think max is about 190 years at moment (although if a singularity occured that could become a relevant timespan for procrastinators).
The problem with the override option is that it is a weak barrier. It takes a split second to click it and after two or three times it becomes a habit to override.
A good solution would force the user to become acutely aware of what he is about to do and give him time to regain enough discipline to stop.
Perhaps it would help if the user were forced to watch a video about procrastination or answer a series of relevant or time consuming questions before proceeding to override noprocrast.
You can still change the OS time.
Is it time for you to stop trolling?

Actually it is ok advice taken as the first step. Write to see what you think. Then rewrite, rewrite, rewrite.
I'd be more worried about humidity, mold, radon etc.

Remove override option from anti-procrastination feature.
Why is there even an override options, given that the point of using the feature would be that you have low selfcontrol?
Btw no anti-procrastionation software will ever be useful until it prevents you from changing the OS time...
HELP!
