This was very painful to read. Thanks for sharing. It hits a nerve to hear someone say, "I start to develop a faint feeling that I sleep better at night when I play along and nod approvingly to things I don't actually agree with instead of being pigheaded."

I saw a launch demo of this in Mumbai comic con last weekend. Note that they only had a pre-rendered game video running that could be paused with spacebar. There were two cameras checking the observers eyes and creates a double image for depth. The 3D didn't feel very as deep as movies with Polaroid glasses, but it was clear and evident, especially on a still image. I inquired about the tech behind it and the sales guys didn't really know much, except the keywords (eye tracking, AI tech, 2 camera). I was curious on how the AI would be able to differentiate the depth especially at that refresh rate they promise (1-2ms). They mentioned having an app which can convert ANY game or movie into 3D. After a rabbit hole of a research into this, I got some answers in the 3D tech but not how the cameras are used, and the speed of the AI remains very questionable.

Not really, no. My peers and I were constantly opening ChatGPT when probing new topics. But now, with Gemini integrated within Google and the hallucinations of LLMs, seeing the SEO result along with the AI summary has become my goto choice. The one thing I find extremely frustrating (which I hope Google fixes) is not being able to continue the conversation with Gemini if I have follow-up questions.

I think this also stems from a new design paradigm emerging in the search domain of tech. The content results and conversational answers are merging – be it Google or your Algolia search within your documentation, a hybrid model is on the rise.

Was the home page vibe coded? The "Take me to Tutorial" button does nothing.
