Who is going to invest the trillion dollars into infrastructure needed to run the latest version of Kimi 3-5 years out

Everybody that is concerned about their data ownership and residency, and how the US political system is behaving right now. There is a huge incentive to cut off ties with API and subscription providers, especially those based in the US.

Some buyers need the best and you can charge a premium for it.

Yes, and that is how you get a top-heavy k-shaped economy I believe. It is harder and harder to sell premium A+ products, because most people can only afford what works. If my old ice cream vendor charges me 25% more but puts chocolate sprinkles on it i'm going for the non-sprinkle version.

I'd argue crypto casinos (pump.fun comes to mind) would not work without stablecoins because no one would back them with real dollars.

One point is missing for me - you get lazy. People are less and less equiped to think about complex problems the more they RELY on this for coding. Also this article is just about coding.

If your sycophants eat everything you'll throw at them there won't be any need for justification. Which completely baffles me. The US digital technology sector seems to be full of yes man and groupthink, and it's getting worse.

This is not a culture thing imo, being honest and transparent makes you vulnerable to exploits, which is often a bad thing for the ones being honest and transparent in a high competition area.

How is what you think they say not clear?

We present GameNGen, the first game engine powered entirely by a neural model that enables real-time interaction with a complex environment over long trajectories at high quality.

Even besides daylight savings time, timezones exist. England and Spain are on a vertical axis, yet the timezone differs by 1 hour. Cross the border from spain to portugal and time jumps a full hour, so there are people living 100 Meters apart with 1 hour time difference.

None of your problems in the first sentence are solved by LLMs. I do not dispute AI research and applications and their benefits, but the current LLM and GenerativeAI hype is of no value to hard scientific problems. Otherwise I agree with you.

Pretty sure they had something in the contract that OpenAI can train on their data, so it is an afterwards legitimation of something already performed (allegedly)
