I’ve just made the move from Lightroom to Apple photos + Photomator. I was sick of having a Lightroom library for my DSLR photos, and an Apple Photos library for my iPhone shots. So far I’m happy with the move overall. I did like the control over how my files are stored in Lightroom but having all my best shots on the devices I view photos the most (iPhone and iPad) is worth giving that up.

What happens to the cards on the Inbox board during the Inbox review meeting? I assume some are moved onto the planning board, others onto the bugs board.

But what about a feature request from a customer that you don't plan on implementing in the next 3 quarters? Do you just delete those cards, or move them to some other backlog.

I just finished listening to John Siracusa on Hypercritical who was making the point that it won't be long until people start saying "there's no way this would have happened on Steve Jobs's watch".

It's easy to see the sarcasm when Steve's only been gone from Apple for a week, but give it a year and people will start forgetting that Apple lead by Steve would go back on decisions when they released they'd made the wrong call.

Another example of this that John gave is when they prematurely removed Firewire from the 13" Macbook. While Steve was CEO they realized that the market wasn't ready for that so they put it back in. And everyone was happy.

In 6 months, if Apple concedes they were wrong on something, will the market think Tim Cook is weak and Apple is doomed?

I agree. Gruber says:

"Supporting WebM and H.264 is better than supporting only one or the other, in my book. But if you’re only going to support one, I say support the one that is in wide use, with extensive wide-ranging support from camera makers, mobile playback devices, and online video services."

But I seem to remember that he wasn't that keen on Apple supporting Flash, even though it was in wide use by mobile playback devices, and online video services.
