I’ve had watch history disabled for years, and the suggested videos were always perfectly fine.

Now I have zero ability to discover new channels, and already my engagement is much lower since I’m limited to what I’m subscribed to, or whatever random search query I make.

My YouTube experience is significantly degraded now.

Fortunately, they appear to have created more interfaces for mass deleting old comments and likes / dislikes, so I’ve been utilising that too.

I look forward to seeing what else they punish me for, for using the settings and tools they provide.

“you need to provide a telephone number, which is linked to your real-world identity”

What country do you live in? I can go to my local supermarket and buy dozens of pre-paid SIM cards with pocket change.

If you’re somehow associating your literal identity to a phone number, it sounds like you must be in a pretty heavy surveillance state.

Additionally, if you’re worried about being tracked, I hope you don’t carry a phone whatsoever.

I used to catch the bus instead of flights, but it’s just not worth the few dollars saved.

People stink. People eat hot stinky food. Oh, and there’s only one toilet here and we’re only stopping for a few minutes. Oh and this stop doesn’t have food options suitable for my dietary needs.

A 12 hour bus trip vs a 1 hour flight?

I’ll always take the flight now.

The funny thing is the site which should have been removed like the of Stackoverflow spam clones

Absolutely. I have a browser extension installed specifically to block domains that are this type of spam from my Google search results, and I’m adding to it almost weekly.

Come on Google, you’re seriously ranking that as front page worthy?

that would save copy/pasting repeated variable names into tests, logs, etc

This is all it takes for me to get value out of my subscription. It's saving me time by anticipating my next test / block of code based on what I've previously written, and that saved time really adds up.

Sure it's not "Jesus take the wheel" level AI yet, but time is money, and so is my sanity.

HDR QR Code 3 years ago

Look at the second example ( red images) and click the Display P3 option.

Do you see the symbol inside? No? Well then your display / monitor isn’t capable of showing a colour range higher than sRGB.

HDR is similar in respect to brightness and contrast.

If your device supports HDR, then there’s more steps in the brightness scale that your monitor can display.

There are websites that host games under X kilobytes, and they’re typically built using very clever tricks and techniques that you can learn from.

None of the sites in this 1kB club even attempt anything noteworthy.

For example, one of them just says “persons name, web hacker”. Wowee.
