I strongly feel that with the more year that I acquire, the less creative I become. I don’t think it’s an age thing that slowed me down, it’s an over abundance of options. The few times I’ve been stuck with just my laptop and a copy of FL studio, the old creative me comes back.

I advise to not invest time into this company. They took me through three rounds and completely ghosted me. I emailed several times and heard nothing. Only when they saw me on the outside did they realize they should probably get back to me.

Reddit survived a long time with absolutely horrendous stability. They still have pretty bad uptime: 99.72 % uptime (web). Their community was very vocal about it, but they continued to grow.

I could even see it helping. When reddit was down everyone lost their shit and there would be posts "where were you during the outage of '21" and "today I actually went outside", etc.. Kinda adds to the hype.

It's not worthless though, because if it didn't exist - some browser extension would appear the next day which adds a nice little download right next to the play button.

Yea, when I saw these limitations, the first thing I thought of was Tesla. And Tesla makes it very clear with their messaging, when you first pair your phone, something like 'Due to limitations by Apple, you won't be able to participate in group chats.'

It seems obvious to me Apple always wants to keep one critical thing inaccessible for iMessage, to lock people into using their platforms. They'd rather Tesla use car play, that way they can lock the integration down so others (like Windows) can't use the same integration.

I do believe one of the reasons VR has been slow to gain traction is because of the bulkiness/awkwardness of the headsets. This definitely takes care of the weight, but it still looks ridiculous. I don't foresee people sitting on the train wearing these.

The right headset is around the corner, but this isn't it.

Wow, I just implemented this in BTT and it's amazing how quickly it's become an indispensable tool. Just highlight any text I type and get the "answer" to it. Thanks for the tip!

Assuming you're referring to Sonos -- while they were once the best, they seem to just not work well anymore. I'm lucky if I can get it to function correctly. I've observed my brother's Chromecast whole-home audio which cost him a fraction of the price and has a ton more variety - and I'm thinking I may ditch my Sonos setup.

Do you have any fear that the connection of all these iot devices could be used in the facilitation of a widespread attack?

Also, all the devices in our homes running code which we have no way of scrutinizing. I'm a bit alarmed about that.

And the uprise in unchecked images people are flashing onto raspi's which could potentially be owned by a bad actor.

I could be paranoid, but these are things that have been on my mind.

I am so afraid of the potential of a cyber attack via IoT... with people taking image files from random spots on the dark web and writing them to their rasp pi's without looking at what's on the image, and putting random devices on their network without having any way to explore the code embedded -- it would be very easy for a widescale cyber attack to suddenly be unleashed and very suddenly we wouldn't even know what hit us.
