Unless the BA members have future-reading abilities (which perhaps they have, who knows!), that narrative is hard to hold @showyourfaces.

I think it was similar but far more mundane. I think they got bad vibes from Wasmer.

Tampering with devices you own is already a crime in some circumstances. I'm sure they can extend it to these.

WordPress is something that would exist in another form if not for Matt Mullenweg. There have been plenty of competing projects. Thanks to good timing WP became the one that a lot of different people contributed to, turning a small project into an 800 pound gorilla. Despite this, Matt Mullenweg and Automattic has used the copyright and trademark to assert and maintain control over it. Some agree with the leadership, some do not, but many website developers are pretty much stuck with it.

You can tell someone is copying someone else's work when they copy the bad stuff. The search box on GitHub and now GitLab wastes space with "This repository" spelled out. It's also odd that you get more space to type when you're not searching inside of a repo, and that backspace is how you switch to a more general search. Pity. I thought that GitLab had learned their lesson and stopped copying GitHub.

Aside from that, it sounds like a well thought out feature, and it's good that they're redoing it instead of just changing it bit by bit.

Haha. I knew this was coming. You're putting white and asian in one group and blacks and latinos in another group. What should these groups be called, so we don't have to spell it out each time this distinction is made?

Why, because she had that man that stuck around?

It sounds like he was an enabler to me, and that she would have done better off without him if he'd cut off contact with her at any point, even after she started AA.

You can email the Software Freedom Conservancy to report its use, even if you don't know whether they have permission or not. They'll sort it out. http://git-scm.com/trademark

Also I have the feeling that if they had permission that they wouldn't forget to add a notice about it to the bottom of their page.

Even if you can afford it, you've got to ask for it, if you're in the tech field. A professional basketball player, and probably also a coach, is going to have their physical health watched over, whether they take the initiative or not. Wealthy people in many other fields are free to go to the doctor as rarely or as often as they want.

That said I think his wife probably made sure he got good access to healthcare, if he didn't take the initiative himself. But it probably is somewhere between every three months and every year. Major sports players, top celebrities or Paul Atreides have the level of access that make it extremely rare, but a well connected tech executive just has a level of access that reduces the risk somewhat.
