Hello everyone, author here. Glad to answer any questions about this pet project of mine. It may not be some fancy new special thing but it works for me, and I hope for others as well.

Looks cool! Including the script in the project directory is the way, and I created on makesh[1] with that in mind. Since it's a submodule it can be easily pulled around with a repo and updated.

Glad to see people are finally going back to ahell scripts since they are very ergonomic and with a little portability in mind, they can be cross platform too.

I was quite impressed to use this functionality in the awesome iina player [1], but it a Mac-only app so I made this for Linux and I plan to make it work also on Windows and Mac. I use mpv as my main video player so I needed something like this to stream videos from youtube and whatnot (any website supported by youtube-dl). Enjoy!

You should check out OsmAnd [1] and their pro client, which is FOSS [2]. The maps are downloaded in svg from OpenStreetMap (available offline) and the app has a ton of features. Also i'm not sponsored, I just find the whole thing very useful

I would suggest one of the alternatives listed at https://switching.social/ethical-alternatives-to-google-anal... . Fathom in particular is open source and can be self hosted

You can actually pass LDFLAGS to any go tool (e.g. go build[1]). The flags are specified in the linker documentation[2]

The point of the subreddit is to discuss news or tools about piracy, not to actually do it; the subreddit is actively moderated and any infringement is deleted/punished. That said, admins have apparently detected many infringements but have not backed them up with actual post links or information

tl;dr: you can insert whatever page into the browser's history so when you click the back button the browser navigates to that specific page. Google is working on preventing it in Chromium [1]
