Very interested to hear the outcome of this investigation. As a Pittsburgh resident, it's pretty common knowledge that our ~450 bridges are not in great condition, and this just confirms it. The last inspection on this bridge was done in September of 2021 - Although it was determined to be in "poor" condition, it wasn't deemed unsafe. Less than 6 months later it collapses. How many more of our bridges are this close to collapse?

Every time I visit a forum it really does feel like a step back in time. The inability for low quality comments to be pushed downward makes them very difficult to use.

Modern voting systems aren't perfect either, particularly in the way that they can create echo chambers/hivemind behavior, but it's a hell of a lot better than forums.

I believe this is also a cultural/political effort to create problems where they don’t exist.

I often see people commenting on the poor quality of America’s internet compared to European countries, but how much of that is due to the physical size of America? I imagine it’s much more difficult to build out a larger network especially when many parts of America are not very populated.

Comparing an intentional attack on our nation to a global pandemic is insulting.

Stuff like this is surely part of why modern tech companies design their products to not be opened any more.
