Old news. The report came out early on when the protocol was implemented. Nobody cared just like many other unscientific measures like ok to play college and pro sportsball but not any level below collegiate. Ok to have live TV skits with no masks like SNL but not ok to walk on a wide open beach with no mask....meh.

I visited the National Bowling Museum near Dallas as a spontaneous joke with some friends. Impressive museum for bowling. My favorite part was an animatronic pin boy talking about how he was making a lot of money setting pins and was moving up soon to shoe rentals. Hilarious. Highly recommend checking it out if you are in the area.
Much sympathy. My spouse had a 401K with a portion of it in "Mediterranean assets". She got a letter saying those were Russian assets in reality. All gone, sorry.
It however worked out better by default. She was so infuriated she closed the 401K and bought an investment property which we work on together. I haven't seen her this excited in a while. We work on the property on the weekend together.
I remember Eddie Murphy joking about this on his early 80's comedy album as a kid:
Heartbreaking waiting for this release and even more heartbreaking playing it. After 15 minutes I had seen enough.
Almost nobody had cable TV in the early 80's. I grew up during this period but believe what you want. Cable TV was barely off the ground. HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, but outside of that it was nothing. No reach.
Fast forward to the 90's when hate groups were allowed on the internet. No race riots, burning of cities. That only happened when things started getting banned. And the violence was not from the right. It was the left. They were the ones who looted and burned but again, believe what you want to believe. If you believe it then it happened. Right wingers burned and looted Walmarts..meh.
I will personally give you context. Nobody in my neighborhood is doing solar panels. Why? Because we don't want that on our roof. It looks like shit ok. It ruins the look of the house. We have enough coin to not do it and waste as much energy as we want. If you want to do it then go for it. I personally do not care what you think or do with your own coin. If you want to put solar panels on top of your car, on your lawnmower DO IT. I will not and never will. Nothing you can do about it.
Do high dollar people have solar panels on their roof? NO. They do not. It looks like s**. They do not do this. You might find a few but solar is a sign of financial weakness. Take Obama with his propane tanks. Do you see solar on his house? Getting rid of gas.NO. You do not. These things are for the feeble minded and weak:

Futile effort. AC units draw an enormous amount of power. The only thing that might help is drying clothes outside since dryers also pack a serious draw. Now who is with me!
Houston local TV is running cover for Dr. Hotez claiming he's being stalked:

Stalked? Sounds like some cheesy psycho thriller title...meh. He probably is being harassed but that's par for the course for anyone running their mouth about controversial topics.
Instead of making office furniture modular it needs to be the actual buildings. I recall seeing an early form of it in Hong Kong in the early 90's where one building was put together almost like legos (minus the bamboo scaffolding).
The US needs them in Chicago, Detroit, New Orleans, Philly and LA.
I grew up in a time when David Duke was allowed to speak on campuses. He is still a joke just like he was then. You are deluded being there was no major media platforms back then. Major media platforms didn't exist outside of antenna TV.
I have no info on what he banned or blocked. All I am saying is if someone wants a KKK platform or a white hate platform then so be it. As long as they are not harming anyone physically or financially it is fair game. We can't have this now for some reason but I grew up in a time when it was allowed. Nothing bad happened unlike today. The more things are banned the more bad thing happen. Maybe stop banning things? Just a suggestion from personal experience.
I've never used FB or Meta. I do find Elon's comments on free speech on target. We will find out together where this goes I guess. I personally like free speech and I mean all of it. Hatred, spite, honesty, truth, humility...all of it. Put it all out there and let it rip.
I had a PT job in college which I needed to pay rent. Where work ended and began? It didn't. When life happened like my VW breaking down it still didn't stop. I jogged to work for about 6 months. 4 miles round trip. F** it. It was hot warehouse work so it didn't matter if I showed up sweating. I would run if it was 100 degrees outside, raining...didn't matter. Some of my friends had flip phones but I just didn't get it. Who are these people they are talking to all the time? Can't you just call them when you get home...meh.
Article is deceptive. It does however concede grudgingly in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2021 it grew.
I thought I was a somewhat normal person outside of one lesson I learned from spending a couple decades in the military and that's NEVER trust the government and their controlled media under any circumstance. And especially don't trust them when they are demanding you do.
Once they start demanding it that's when you know things are about to get really bad. The kicker though is when they start handing out free money. RUN like hell.
He's not done getting control having recently found a hidden algorithm throttling down his own tweets so no. He's getting more control.
I only have one example of the fraud. A family member with a doctorate in botany who was told to either pencil whip her data or lose Federal funding. She refused to lie. She lost her job and moved on.
This is only one example but if anyone believes the data is not being manipulated then they themselves are being manipulated. There are things we must do but to blame everything on climate change backed by the printing press of the Federal Government something will go wrong. Horribly wrong.
It is a good product. I got one for my elderly mother for power outages a couple of years ago. It's light and she can charge it from her car if needed. She already used it a couple of times. It can't power the house but charging a phone, watching TV, cooking on a hot plate. Perfect for minor outages.
Good point. I have traveled all the way around this planet. I know what real poverty looks like and it doesn't look like anything going on in TX or the US period. I would gladly accept being in poverty in the US compared to those places. I would be jumping for joy to be honest. Just living here you hit the jackpot.
The one in Orlando, he tried to target another place first but it had too much security. He wasn't targeting an LGBTQ establishment. It was a weak target with no security. Believe what you want though but it was investigated. He wanted to kill people. It didn't matter who.
I don't know about the one in Denver but the same could be said for the Vegas shooting and other school shootings or even black communities. It happens.
Regardless, LGBTQ have parades annually in almost every city for decades and many other events. If they were being persecuted they would be beaten in the streets or worse. They are not but again, believe what you want. If you believe it then that is your right. I do not believe they are being persecuted like the Cajuns were in Canada or blacks in MS back during the MS Burning Days. That's not what is going on.
All valid points but being different is that really persecution? I would only consider it persecution if it harmed them physically or financially and on a large scale, not a small number of cases which will always exist and always will exist.
Take the Acadians ran out of Canada. To me that was persecution. Are LGBTQ being ran out of areas, physically beaten and murdered? No. Do they feel isolated because there is not that many of them? Of course. Are older folks stuck in their ways ever going to accept them? Probably not but that's not persecution just because someone doesn't like you. Only if they physically harm you or cause financial harm out of spite. I don't see that going on some massive scale.
I just wanted to know how they are being persecuted in the US. Everyone is persecuted on some level though in the US. If someone is more qualified for a job and they get passed over for it not being the right race or sex that is also a form of persecution.
Yep. Same here. I bought a pool and another property at very low rates. Already paid them off. It should have been obvious once the stimie checks started being cranked out what was going to eventually happen. Can't flood the system with that much unearned cash without rates going up. My only regret is not taking out more loans. Fun times. I doubt those days ever return, at least not for a decade or more.
It can be done without a time machine or pretty close to it. Get a TV antenna, channel scan and delete all channels except MeTV stations and a couple other classic stations. Cancel all social media, streaming services and no cell phone. Only a landline and always drive with a road atlas in the glove box. If you want to learn about something go to a library and check out books. Do all those things and well on your way.
How are they being persecuted? Maybe in the other 74 countries or so in the world with laws against their lifestyles but in the US it's impossible to escape their lifestyles with rainbow flags everywhere, pride parades, pride marketing, pride kids clothing, pride emails from bosses while trying to work...meh.
US "poverty" doesn't look anything like global poverty. How many of that 14% in TX have access to a flushing toilet, clean water, food, shelter and a smartphone. Take all those people out of that 14% and willing to bet it's 1% and that's on the high side. They would be considered very well off in many regions on the planet.
